Useful New Features
- Like Option: Similar to the 'this rocks' on Rockstar's Social Club, there is now an option to 'rock' any post by clicking the star button in the top right corner of each post. This crew is all about positivity and creativity, so 'rock' every corner of this forum!
- Tagging Members: You can tag anyone by putting @ before the username (not the Display Name! You can hover over any member's name to see the username! Example: stronktank ). It's better to use this instead of quoting, as the user will get notified that he was tagged! More info here.
- Participated: Can be found at the right end of the breadcrumb! Displays all topics that you participated in, with a notification when there are new replies.
- Collapsible,... Everything! You can collapse all categories that you do not use. Collapse the Shoutbox and/or Stats & Info, if you don't need them! Same counts for the sidebar, collapse anything you don't need.
- Mark All Boards/Threads as Read: To be found at the bottom (Info & Stats) of the main forum.
- Recent Threads/Posts: In the quick-menu on the left and at the bottom (Info & Stats) of the main forum.
- Add Poll Option: When creating a topic you can add a poll by clicking on the button right to the subject text field. To change your vote 'take away' your previous vote by clicking and then use it again.
- Event Hosts: New options have been added to make event hosting easier! Check out the small summary here or your platform specific Guide to Joining/Hosting an Event. Contains posting templates (to use every time you create a new event number topic), a countdown clock, and of course, the poll option!
- Awards: Commissioners can award members with medals and awards. At this moment we have five different kinds (GCCC Verified, Rockstar Verified, Review Medal, GCCC Promotor, and Daily Duties Medal). Feel free to suggest awards here.
- Warning option: Members that misbehave can now be given a warning on the forums.
Recommended settings to change
- Social Websites and Instant Messengers in Profile & Mini-Profile: Go to your profile (by clicking your name anywhere) , click 'edit profile' on the top right and click the 'personal' tab. Add any social network there (we highly recommend you add your
social club and console name), and they will show as small icons in your mini-profile (displayed on the left in posts). For adding your instant messengers go to the 'social' tab. Don't forget to save your changes at the bottom of the page. - Edit Display Name. Profile > Personal > Display Name (1st option)
- Turn on drafts. Profile > Edit Profile button > Settings tab > Enable Drafts (5th option)
This will save anything you write in the 'reply' area for future use.
- Set your display group. Profile > Edit Profile button > Settings tab > Display Group (10th option) > Select Group
- Check your privacy, change your avatar and check out other settings.
