Tapatalk is a popular mobile app that provides a centralized platform for accessing and participating in online forums, such as this one. With Tapatalk, users can easily discover and follow forums on a wide range of topics, including hobbies, interests, and professional communities. It's generally the preferred way to navigate the forums on mobile due to it's better user-friendly interface that allows for easy navigation and participation in forum discussions, as well as the ability to receive notifications for new posts and updates.
How to download TeamUp Calendar on Android and Apple devices and subscribe to the forums
Step 1: Download Tapatalk
Open the Google Play Store or App Store on your Android or iPhone device, respectively. Search for Tapatalk and download and install the app.
Step 2: Open Tapatalk and create an account
Once Tapatalk is installed, open the app and create an account. You can use your email address or sign in with your Facebook, Twitter, or Google account. This is in addition to logging into the forums later.
Step 3: Find the "GTA Content Creator Community" forum
Tap the search icon in the top-right corner of the Tapatalk app, then type "GTA Content Creator Community" in the search bar. Tap on the forum when it appears in the search results.
Step 4: Follow the "GTA Content Creator Community" forum
Once you've found the "GTA Content Creator Community" forum, tap on the "Follow" button. This will add the forum to your list of followed forums and allow you to receive notifications for new posts, as well as when you're notified in topics (such as reminders to vote or when your jobs are included in events). You'll also need to login to the forums with your usual forum credentials.
That's it! You've now installed Tapatalk on your Android or iPhone device and followed the "GTA Content Creator Community" forum. Enjoy participating in discussions and connecting with fellow members of the community.
Please note the basic version of Tapatalk is ad supported while voting on polls (and certain other features) aren't supported by the Tapatalk app. However this can easily be worked around...
How to vote in polls using the App
- Within your mobile browser (eg Chrome, Firefox) navigate to gccc.boards.net and login. Then close your mobile browser and open Tapatalk.
- Find the event you want to vote on within the Tapatalk App.
- Once the topic is open, tap on the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
- From the menu that appears, select "Web View." The web view of the topic will now open in your device's default web browser.
- You can then vote on the topic within your web browser and then simply go back to the App when you're done.
FAQ:
I'm not getting (or no longer getting) notifications for Tapatalk. What should I do?
Contact Tapatalk support via the App. Home page - Account (the person icon) - Contact Us - Open in your email program (Gmail). You should get a email including your Tapatalk info, then explain you haven't been getting notifications. When I did that it was fixed within a few days after being broken.
Why not browse the forums using a browser?
Although the forums can be viewed this way notifications aren't supported while the forum itself isn't optimised for mobile. Tapatalk provides a much more user friendly interface and is probably the best way to view the forums on small devices.
Why not a standalone App, will this change in the future etc?
The forums are hosted by, and built using, Proboards. This essentially has allowed relative html and css noobs (like me) to create a functional user-friendly forum without needing a lot of coding experience or dedicating huge amount of time to add features and maintain bits of code behind the website. Everything complicated is done for us (more-or-less) with plugins and templates while still allowing a good amount of customisation. The one downfall of this is that Proboard forums generally don't support mobile and tablet devices well, although this is likely to change with a new Proboards update in the next few years (although how easy / possible it will be to migrate from v5 to v6 remains unknown). Essentially for the the foreseeable future Tapatalk will be the best way to view the forums.
