GCCC World Off-Road Championship #24
Season 3: Round 6 of 8

GCCC brings you its very own World Off-Road Championship.

Multi-Crew event open to GCCC, Affiliates and Race Crews.
2 hours of crew member submitted off-road and rally inspired races.

GCCC Member Jobs get priority but jobs from non-crew members will be accepted.
Providing a best lap time tournament each season for those who want the challenge.

There are eight rounds per season with each round consisting of 10 stages. Up to 8 minutes per track.

A special Creator Final follows with the seasons top voted tracks.

Event Time

This Round: Sept. 5th/8th, 2016

American Event: Monday with theicide @ 6 PM PDT (Tue. 2 AM BST)

European Event: Thursdays with KM86REDDEVIL @ 6 PM BST

Add the hosts on PSN and join the party portal "GCCC Offroad/Rally Event Portal"

Crew Lobby opens at 5:30 PM PDT (Monday)/ 5:30 pm BST (Thursdays)

Event Format

10 Races across 2 playlists.
Up to 8 Minutes per track.

Each event should last around 2 hours.

Points are awarded based on your best lap time and not your finishing position.

Forum voting will be used for the best tracks of the round.

The best 3 tracks from each round go through to the Next Round.

The winning driver and creator are crowned at the end of each season.

Creator Finals

Each of the eight rounds will have a forum poll to pick your 4 favourite tracks.

The top 3 each week after voting will automatically go through to the next round playlist.

In the event of a tie for third place - both third and fourth will go through.

The Number One race each week will automatically go through to the Creator Final in Round 9.

Event Rules

Please follow all GCCC Rules and etiquette.

No Crew lobby killing of any type.

No glitched/invisible clothing during playlists.
Please only vote if you have attended the event.

Points System

Points will be awarded to the top 5 best lap times for each track. Must not use a blacklisted vehicle to qualify. It will be the top 5 best lap times from both Tuesdays and Thursdays events combined. You may attend both events to improve your chances. If attending both events, the best of the two lap times will be used.
Season 3 Blacklisted Vehicles.

Using blacklisted vehicles will mean your points are void for that race.

Off-Road: No Bikes (Sanchez & BF400) (except when locked)

Supers: All Supercars except (use only Sultan RS, Bullet or Voltic)
Sedans: No Schafter or Schafter V12
Motorcycles: No Street Bikes (use BF400, Sanchez, Enduro, Blazer, Gargoyle or Cliffhanger)

Points awarded to the top 5 fastest laptimes for each track.
1st: 7 points
2nd: 5 points
3rd: 4 points
4th: 3 points
5th: 2 points
All other finishers: 1 point
DNF or using blacklisted vehicle: 0 points.

Race Submissions

All tracks are raced Non-Contact only.

30 player races to allow as many crew members to join as possible.

Customs are used unless the creator locks the class to one vehicle.

The top 3 voted tracks will automatically go through to the next round.

Winning races from the previous round will be set to Rain.

If a track wins for a 2nd week the class is changed.

Tataviam Meander by agrajag
A Point-to-Point meandering Off-Road tour starting below the Land Act Reservoir and ending at the Prison. Defaulted to SUV’s and can be played in a few other classes.
+ Great Track Title and Description.
+ Interesting Meandering route featuring bridges, jumps, banked turns and mixed terrains and surfaces.
+ Good route length at around 5 minutes.
- I think the Block wall at CP-4 is too tall. One block high would be sufficient and look much better.
- The block wall right before the dam needs to be extended into the cliff so the corner can’t be hit or easily driven behind.
+ Nice crossover bridges across the Reservoir and back onto the dirt road. Flowed nicely and looked good.
+ Well made banked U-Turn at CP-23
+ Jump over freeway worked well and easy to clear. Even includes ramps on the freeway if you fail to make it across.
+ Nice meandering route between freeways and smooth transition up to the Wind Farm.
- The block wall at the top of the Wind Farm is too tall and probably get by with only 2 or 3 blocks high. Could use a additional 1-block high wall on the left side after turning left at the top to prevent from going off the left side next to the nearest Wind Mill.
+ Fun route going off natural drops between CP-39 & 40.
- Add barriers past CP-40 to prevent from overshooting the corner and to direct you. I always seem to forget to turn right here and keep going straight. Even though the CP clearly tells me to turn right.
+- I like the bus placement at CP-44. I think it would be cool if the gaps between them where filled in and it could be used as a banked turn.
+- Not sure if you intended the wall between CP-47 and 48 to be a wall ride. It’s placed at a angle. I couldn’t successfully ride it and didn’t work well when sliding against it. Causes you to flip over. Needs a entrance and exit ramp to make the transition smooth for a wall ride or just make it a vertical barrier and less tall.
- I think the final banked turn needs work for a smoother exit. It leads straight toward some bushes and rocks.
= 3.5/5. Really enjoyed the route and worked well in SUV’s. Could use improvements in props for functionality and aesthetics.

Trophy Truckin' by drrockso26
Off-Road Trophy Truck race around the Redwoods Lights track. can also be raced in Motorcycles, Sports, Supers or SUV’s.
+- Okay title and description. A little generic but does the job.
+- Typical route around the Redwood Lights track and includes some nice features but could use more to make it stand out.
- The blue barriers on the first corner are messy looking. Perhaps use some well placed billboards or buses blended together to make a nice seamless smooth wall around the corner.
- Farm fence at 2nd corner looks out place on this track. Perhaps use some construction props instead to go with the theme of the area.
+ Really enjoyed the half buried concrete pipes section. Best feature about this track. Trophy truck worked great over them.
+ Fireworks was also a nice feature.
- I think the platform jump needs work in functionality and aesthetics. I like the idea of a jump here. It’s hit and miss when jumping over. Sometimes it’s a nice smooth landing on the down ramp and sometimes it’s a hard landing on top of the platform or the edge of the down ramp. Aesthetically it’s looks awkward with the design and black color. I think a grey or orange color would look better with the surroundings. Perhaps experiment with the raised track humps and hills and bury those props into the ground for jumps or bumps.
= 3/5. Typical route around the Redwoods Lights track with a couple of nice features that was quite fun in Trophy Trucks. Propping needs work in functionality and aesthetics.

Non Con - K86 Rally by KM86REDDEVIL
Mixed surface Rallycross track near the Redwood Lights Track defaulted to sports and most classes available.
+- Alright title and description. Just tells you it’s a Rally race and estimated lap time.
+ Good route on commonly used roads but the propping makes it look and feel completely original and fresh.
+ Nice covered starting grid.
+ Consistent Purple propping with Orange Props accented it well. Lots of interesting propping placed through out. Looked good and well placed.
+- Not sure about the Red tire used for the starting line. I’m guessing you went with red to signify it is the start line. But don’t think it blends well with the purple. I think Orange would look better here.
+ I’ve played both versions, Non-Contact and GTA of this track. I like that you removed the joker lap from the non-contact version. No worries of someone taking the joker lap on accident for this event. Something I considered doing with my Non-Contact Rallycross tracks.
+- I seem to usually overshoot the first right hand corner. It is blind and catches you by surprise. But I usually remember on the next lap.
+- Jump is a little awkward to line up for. But works well when jumping over.
- There are some holes you can get stuck in past the jump off the right side of dirt road. Would be nice if they where filled in.
+ The hidden booster is a fun surprise.
+ Fun smooth route down the ravine back to the start.
= 5/5. Really enjoyed the look and feel of this track. A couple minor prop tweaks would make it perfect.

the Wizard of Oz by ShelbyGR
Novelty Wizard of Oz theme yellow brick road route for BF400 or Sanchez.
+ Good track title and description.
+- Route is interesting, a little challenging but feel it could be longer.
- The route looks more interesting in the picture. There appears to be more yellow block road in the picture but has been replaced with track pieces instead.
+ Nice starting grid on the round yellow target landing zone. Followed by a jump out of a tube onto the swamps.
- CP-5 needs props to help direct you onto the boardwalk better. Something on the left side so you don’t cut the corner too soon. Yellow Block ramps across the water work well but would have liked it better if they were a little wider so there is more room for error.
+- Spiral worked well on Sanchez. Though, I seemed to have difficulty with the BF400. I’m a poor stunt driver. So I’m not a good judge of stunts.
+- I have mixed feelings about driving through the containers. It was a little tight and challenging for racing purposes. But this is more of a novelty track and not designed for speed. Would have preferred a easier tunnel made from the yellow or green blocks.
+- The narrow yellow blocks after the containers requires you to be slow and careful to not fall off. Slow and steady is the name of the game on this track.
+ Rotating gate tube, I thought worked well here.
- Not a fan of the track section at the end. I don’t think there should be any tarmac. It doesn’t go well with the Wizard of Oz theme. I think yellow 2 block wide pieces should have been used instead. Something similar to the picture.
+ The Magical Emerald city made from Containers looks fantastic and is the best feature of this track.
+ Nice finish with the boosters shooting you through a fire hoop.
= 3/5. The Magical Emerald City finish it great. Would like the route getting there to be longer with more yellow block road sections.

Off-Roads Less Travelled by cliffherb
Mixed surface rally on established dirt roads and newly built track sections in the air and creek beds.
+ Good track title and detailed description. Includes a tip about not cutting the track in the creek bed section to avoid being flipped by unseen rocks. Which I did witness happen during the race.
+ Very nice route with a good mix of dirt and track. Very nice propping throughout.
+ Great looking starting grid. Nice use of Tube section as a banked corner before finish line. Starting gate props looked good and well placed.
- First left hand corner could use more barrier protection to prevent from going off the track on the right side.
+ The second right hand corner that follows had great barrier protection.
+ Good propping on narrow bridges. Clearly warn you of the narrow width.
+ Covered bridge entrance and exit was smoothed out nicely.
+ Track funnel blended nicely with the narrow bridge. Great transition from dirt to track.
+ Nice job smoothing out the dirt road at CP-13.
+ Great idea for the arrows at CP-16.
- Right side Barriers at CP-21 has a crevice between the road and barrier that your vehicle can get stuck in. Move barrier closer to the road or fill in the crevice.
- Dynamic Barrel lines placed between CP’s 26 through 28 got knocked around onto the track creating hazards. Would prefer to see more Tire wall ad signs or arrows used instead.
+ Great job building the track down the creek with nice banked corners.
= 5/5. Well built and fun track with great looking props. Just needs a few minor prop tweaks.

Cactus Jack's by barfy86
Starting beside the Vinewood hills, this circuit takes a new turn across the freeway into the Casino complex. Spin your wheels round one turn of the famous Vinewood Racetrack before leaving to complete the lap.
+ Great track title and description.
+ Fun quick mixed surface route works great in defaulted coupes.
+ Cactus prop in T.V. was cool looking.
- 1st checkpoint can be missed at the apex. Move it in little more towards the bridge.
+ Nicely built bridge over the freeway.
- I think all tire barriers used should be replaced with red containers or buried barges for barriers. Will look better, more consistent and be more crash friendly.
+ Great barb wire fence propping at CP-5. Worked well as a barrier and didn’t distract from aesthetics.
+- Nice crossover bridge onto the dirt track. But I think it could be made smoother.
+ Well done exit off the dirt track with buried barges smoothing out the route.
+ Concrete pipes protected light poles well and suited the area nicely.
= 4/5. Fun, quick route with nice bridges. Could be more aesthetic pleasing without the tire barriers and could use a smoother bridge onto the dirt track.

One thing I didn’t mention in last weeks review. Is how easy it is to crash into the log piles between CP 14 and 15. If you watch my videos from both weeks you will see me and others crashing there. I think a barrier there would be quite helpful to slide against.
