GCCC World Off-Road Championship #22
Season 3: Round 4 of 8

GCCC brings you its very own World Off-Road Championship.

2 hours of crew member submitted off-road and rally inspired races.

Providing a best lap time tournament each season for those who want the challenge.

There are eight rounds per season with each round consisting of 10 stages. Up to 8 minutes per track.

A special Creator Final follows with the seasons top voted tracks.

Event Time

This Round: 23rd/25th of August 2016

American Event: Tuesdays with theicide @ 7 PM PDT (Wed. 3 AM BST)

European Event: Thursdays with KM86REDDEVIL @ 6 PM BST

Add the hosts on PSN and join the party portal "GCCC Offroad/Rally Event Portal"

Crew Lobby opens at 6:30 PM PDT (Tuesdays)/ 5:30 pm BST (Thursdays)

Event Format

10 Races across 2 playlists.
Up to 8 Minutes per track.

Each event should last around 2 hours.

Points are awarded based on your best lap time and not your finishing position.

Forum voting will be used for the best tracks of the round.

The best 3 tracks from each round go through to the Next Round.

The winning driver and creator are crowned at the end of each season.

Creator Finals

Each of the eight rounds will have a forum poll to pick your 4 favourite tracks.

The top 3 each week after voting will automatically go through to the next round playlist.

In the event of a tie for third place - both third and fourth will go through.

The Number One race each week will automatically go through to the Creator Final in Round 9.

Event Rules

Please follow all GCCC Rules and etiquette.

No Crew lobby killing of any type.

No glitched/invisible clothing during playlists.
Please only vote if you have attended the event.

Points System

Points will be awarded to the top 5 best lap times for each track. Must not use a blacklisted vehicle to qualify. It will be the top 5 best lap times from both Tuesdays and Thursdays events combined. You may attend both events to improve your chances. If attending both events, the best of the two lap times will be used.
Season 3 Blacklisted Vehicles.

Using blacklisted vehicles will mean your points are void for that race.

Off-Road: No Bikes (Sanchez & BF400) (except when locked)

Supers: All Supercars except (use only Sultan RS, Bullet or Voltic)
Sedans: No Schafter or Schafter V12
Motorcycles: No Street Bikes (use BF400, Sanchez, Enduro, Blazer, Gargoyle or Cliffhanger)

Points awarded to the top 5 fastest laptimes for each track.
1st: 7 points
2nd: 5 points
3rd: 4 points
4th: 3 points
5th: 2 points
All other finishers: 1 point
DNF or using blacklisted vehicle: 0 points.

Race Submissions

All tracks are raced Non-Contact only.

30 player races to allow as many crew members to join as possible.

Customs are used unless the creator locks the class to one vehicle.

The top 3 voted tracks will automatically go through to the next round.

Winning races from the previous round will be set to Rain.

If a track wins for a 2nd week the class is changed.

Muscle Control? by cliffherb
Defaulted Muscle and Night track in the Vinewood Hills near the Redwood Lights Track. Open to most classes.
+ Good Track Title and Description.
+- Good Route but commonly used and doesn’t offer much to make it stand out.
+ Nice use of Track Railing and hiding the track underground.
+ Big turn arrows and lighted arrows help you navigate the track well at night.
- Beach Flags placed throughout aren’t very visible at night. I think more lighted props should be used instead.
= 3/5. Nice commonly used route but doesn’t offer much to make it stand out.

Omni (s) Potent by jamiejohnward
Mixed surface Rally around Lago Zancudo optimized for the Obey Omnis.
+ Great Track Title and Description.
+ Fun route with a nice mix Tarmac, Dirt, Sand, Technical and Fast sections.
+ Works well in recommended Omnis.
+ Great looking starting grid. Loved the atmosphere.
+ Nice consistent use of Obey Gantry advertising the sponsorship throughout.
+ The route through the vineyard is technical and fun in the Omnis. I didn’t like it on my first run but enjoyed it once I learned the optimal lines.
- Tire stack around pole at CP-6 is problematic if hit. Perhaps bury a concrete pipe standing vertically around the pole and place the tire stack sticking out of the middle of pipe to protect it.
+ Nice pit stop if GTA was available.
+ The route onto the beach and across the well built jump/bridge was well executed. Also loved the included splash at the end of jump.
+ Smooth exit from the beach onto the dirt road.
+ New placement of CP-22 works much better now and should be less likely to miss.
+ Natural propping along the Dirt Road looked good and did a good job of preventing route cutting.
+- The last Obey Gantry at CP-39 has a gap underneath that could be driven under. Perhaps fill it in.
= 5/5. Great Looking track and very enjoyable in the Omnis.

A Dip in the Dirt by agrajag
Jump and Slide around in the dirt before cleaning if all off in the river. Bikes not recommended due to water crossings. Best suited for high speed off-roaders.
+ Great Track Title and Description.
+- Fun Route with a mix of Track, dirt, off-road, jumps, and river crossings. The river crossings can be rough and takes some trial and error to find the smoothest line.
- The route needs to be more to the right when launching off the hill at CP-6. You tend to land too far to the left to line up for the jump into the river.
+ Great looking propping and nice color choices for the arches, jumps and track sections.
- I think there should be a jump or bridge where the route crosses paths. Not a problem for Non-Contact but would be an issue if Contact was available.
= 4/5. Fun quick route but could use some improvements in flow and routing.

Bouncy Coast Rally X (xs) by cornelisas
Quick Rallycross in Del Perro with a quick jump onto the beach. Joker lap included.
+ Good Track Title and a simple description of the joker lap.
+ Good quick and fun route. Works well in most classes. Really enjoy with coupes.
+ Jumps on and off the beach are nicely made and work well.
+- Joker lap can be easy to miss if you don’t know where it is. But works well and like the use of Rail car upon exiting the joker lap.
+ Hot Dog stands used to protect light poles was nicely done.
+- Propping does feel a little dated and think it could use a freshening to spruce it up more.
= 4/5 Fun, Quick route. But feeling a bit dated and could use a freshening.

Rally whit truck,s by @kolkrotterdam
MTL Dune Truck locked Rally through the Senora Desert, Zancudo River and Sandy Shores.
- Generic title with misspellings and no description.
- Route was too long and felt monotonous with the Dune. Make it shorter with less long straights.
+- Jumps made the long straight sections more interesting. Some are easy to bypass though and barges render too late.
- CP-16 past covered bridge is easy to drive past. Barriers are needed to block off road and to direct you to the turn.
- Checkpointing was spread out throughout and needed at intersections to direct on which route to take. For example there is a 3 way intersection between CP-33 and 34 with no checkpoint that left you guessing which road to take.
= 2/5. Needs work. Too Long and Slow for the Dune. Better Propping and Checkpointing throughout.

Deadwood Evolution by AJ
Top voted track returns for a 3rd round. This time ran in Muscles which I thought worked well on this track. Great track.

Mad Max Mad Kurumas by univist
Apocalyptic looking track located outside Harmony. Designed for the armored kuruma and defaulted to the morning rain.
+- Good Title and but can’t make sense of the Description.
+- Vehicle selection needs updating. Vehicle selection is Khamelion and Armored Kuruma. I believe it used to be both versions of the Kuruma but probably got messed up when Rockstar added more Sports car selections. I think other classes like Muscles would also be suitable for this track as well.
+- Good Route but think it’s a bit too bumpy for the Kuruma. Ended up getting a DNF because it couldn’t handle it as well as the Massacros and Elegy’s. Suits more stable Sports cars better or possibly Muscles.
+ The Morning Rain mixed with wreckage propping made for a nice apocalyptic atmosphere.
- I think the start/finish checkpoint is doubled up. You can see a checkpoint at the start of the race and when you go for your next lap. The checkpoint is only one chevron and points in the wrong direction. There are no barriers to direct you and is a bit confusing.
= 4/5. Really enjoy the look and feel of the track. However I feel the Kuruma doesn’t suit the track as well as other vehicles.

Swamp Stomp by atheistsw
Top voted track returns in the Rain. Featuring many new improvements to flow and cleaner propping. I noticed less nasty bumps throwing you off track. Tire barriers are now buried and don’t cause issues when hit. The Barrier added at CP-23 should prevent further issues of getting off-track here. Good Job.
= 5/5. With the new improvements I think it deserves a higher rating. Only nitpick are the sections that cross paths for contact racing.

Non: El Gordo RX by theicide
Top voted track returns for a 3rd round. This time with the Sultan RS. Thought the Sultan RS handled it well.

Shake up the Senora National Park on this Off-Road lap race. For Bicycles and Motorcycles only.
+ Great Track Title and Description.
+ Good route that was fun and challenging. Suits Bikes well.
+- I think traffic should be turned off by default.
- More propping is needed to better direct you from CP-7 to 8. It’s easy to miss CP-8.
+- Would like to see more propping or features added to spruce up the route more.
- I think many obstacles could be propped out with small jumps. Perhaps made out of natural looking props to make the route flow better.
= 3/5. Good route but could use some propping to make it flow better and the route less plain.

I liked the route, and the jumps were a fun without being exagerated.
The one big change I would suggest is moving CP 22 to in front of the gate instead of behind the gate. It's really easy to run wide and miss the CP there, like I did every lap.

This track is vastly improved from last week. Last time I ran this there was a jump before one of the turns that kept throwing me off track, it's been fixed. All around it's a dandy off a track. Only suggestion here is at CP 23 you may want to extend the wall/barrier on the turn. Because the armco is hidden in the grass it's not apparent where to go. We all drove right off the track there on the first lap.

This is a neat build. I really like the section through the river, and the transition from tube to track is awesome fun if you get it right. I thought it was more fun compacts.

Mad Max Mad Kurumas by univist
Fun track that has a nice balance between speed and technical sections. The Massacro vs. Elegy battle was awesome with each being able to pull ahead through different section of the track. You should add a barrier to the start/finish turn. For some reason that CP is only one chevron, and points the wrong way. The first time through the lead cars all went straight and got completely turned around lost because of it.
