Raceday Wednesday February 17 2016 (RDW 79)

Here's my opinions on tonight's jobs with my votes at the bottom. Note that these are based off playing them on my own to avoid the large player issues.

Old School Wall
Nice simple pure wallride race with good checkpoint placements. The wallride is very smooth and works really well in the Osiris, so well that I won, and makes a slight reference to the apartment building that it circles as being the thing back in the day. I enjoy how the stunt cam suddenly happens mid-air. However one suggestion is that I don't feel that the props on the final checkpoint are unnecessary.

Athletic Power
Fun small scale TSL race with a variety of stunts. Having played all of the previous races in the series I was a little bit surprised on the number of stunts. The second two walls are smooth but I personally found the first bumpy. The ramp on to it is easily missed due to the jump line, a fruit stand on the entrance jump would fix this. The barriers are pointless and instead there should be a second wall entrance barge. Also, you should avoid the approach street with the bins.

Turtle Wave
I don't like the way you go through the toll booths at CP16 as it is very easy to crash there. A fruit stand or two forcing you into a select few or one even would make the corner flow more. The respawn platform after the stunt requires you to counter a nose dive to the ground. However I loved the stunt. I love the newly designed wall shape and the flippers both work perfectly. This then leads to a mirrored ramp which auto centres you. Great race.

Big NooseWall
The race begins with a jump over the hill which I enjoyed. The jump onto the stunt works perfectly giving me a good line upwards. The flipper then works well to enter what is a very fun challenge. However the landing is poor because the car has a tendency to spin out which is ok because you have placed a barge as cover.

Chicane Masters
The title says it all! Great GP race with good use of props, especially on the nascar corner. Good location with a nice simple route and well placed checkpoints.

Dockyard Double Delight
I'm not a fan of the repetitiveness of the checkpoints prior to the stunt however it is a fun circuit along with the props used for the stunts. The wallrides are both very smooth however the landing from the first wallride needs to be improved. Simply place a barge in the landing area as the roof is uneven.

Lightning Strikes
There is a nice fast paced circuit until we are slowed down in preparation for the stunt. Change the props as the explosive ones can cause problems even on non contact races. The coaster is very smooth and works amazingly but my favourite part is that mid-air flip is just, wow. What an amazing coaster, look forward to the sequel.

Monaco Flashbacks
Nicely balanced long distance GP with good use of propping including marking the route, removing bumps and stopping your car from hitting annoying obstacles. I liked the fake corner towards the airport instead of the car park there which is always cut. The only issue that I found was that I went far too wide on the corner at CP30 and the should be props blocking off the stairs as I was not the only one to crash here in the lobby.

Bmx Spiral Crash
Enjoyable multi-class quadruple spiral race where each spiral is done twice (each direction). Works in almost anything emphasising the good build. However it works well on GTA with only smaller lobbies or even contact in general. Such a shame that it was forced over 8 minutes.

Wallride 2Hard4U 2
Really smooth wallride that has the appearance of being hard due to the way that it was built. The wallride begins simply before and amazing large scale transistion over at leas 100 metres onto a natural building wallride that transfers you smoothly to another. Amazing race.

Stunts 4 You
The race begins with a new look on a very popular jump before transferring you to a simple wallride. I exited too low and hit the the respawn barge. Then after a small amount of racing there's a spiral which is one of the smoothest that I've played. It's simplicity makes it good a in way that shows that stunts don't have to go to the extreme to be good.

Chocking Hazard
Nice new part-nascar race. Parts of this could be smoother as small amounts are sticking out although it didn't cause me any problems. Apart from this this race is a fun and enjoyable ariel circuit.

FIBIAA Cork
The winner of newest stunts that shows in this event. Simple spiral with the typical camera issue. However I was never able to land back on it and veered off to the side each time and had to respawn. Being a lot easier on the way down, it is easy to see how smooth this is and it can be appreciated more. However it would be ideal for a slight fruit stand adjustment. If you hit the stands on the right you slam against the ones on the left. If you switch glitch them in to each other and make them inline you will smoothly slide off of them.

Flaming Stunts TSL
Nice simple stunts race where the stunts themselves worked perfectly. However the on ramp to the spiral/wallride over flips you and you have to counter it. Moving the ramp closer would be an easy fix. Having to do this is annoying and unreliable. If this is fixed then it will be a great TSL race. Turismo works, Banshee has a nightmare.

Highway to Hell
Fun GP race using what looks like a popular location. Props are placed well on corners and are used well as corners. The route is well set out to go with your placed props and the use of natural corners helps the race flow. The use of a merged corner adds to the enjoyment in contact and the job would be fun with the tram. Available to all classes and would work well on all.

Mur Tour Adventure
A very well set out race with good checkpointing, even allowing the use of corner cutting on a few occasions. The flipper works well and the wall follows up smoothly. However you need to exit lowly on the wall to avoid smashing into an impermeable metal sign. The description is helpful and that should be noted.

My Votes.

1) Lighting Strikes
This by far stood out from the rest.

2) Wallride 2Hard4U 2
A well executed stunt which worked well.

3) Turtle Wave
A hard choice between this and 4th, the originality places this ahead.

4) Stunts 4 You
A hard choice between this and the corkscrew, the fact that this has another stunt edges this into the points.

A great line-up to show here, can't wait to see which four join the line-up at winners wednesday next week!

agrajag from a stunters perspective the Turismo has no problems. However the Banshee will struggle to stay on and is even worsely effected by the ramp.

i got thrown back to singleplayer during the second race on platlist 2. But susi-88-mario invited me for the same playlist so i did and enjoyed them all!!

sadly, turning it to contact really changes people's experience, therefore, changing opinions. not happening again, lads i know the trolls
