This idea has been floating around in my head for a few days.
It would certainly be relatively complex to realise and probably only possible if the respective crew leaders help out, but the result should be very exciting.
A few weeks ago, a crew battle took place between GCCC and CREW. Afterwards, a kind of conversation arose about what it would be like to expand this battle to a kind of world championship with different crews and elimination procedures.
As I mentioned at the beginning, the organisation of such an event would not be without difficulty, but I would like to take on this challenge (any support welcome).
Assuming that 8 crews come together, each crew will provide 8 participants. (Considering the current PS4 and PS5 situation, it should not be more).
By drawing lots, 4 pairings will then be determined for the preliminary round. Each pairing would have a game leader who would be responsible for compiling the playlist (to be fair, all playlists in the preliminary round should be the same), as well as for the screenshot at the end of the playlist. It would be important that each player remains in the list until this screenshot is taken, as the respective final results of the individual players are added up at the end (Thus, in the end, each individual contributes to the overall success of the team).
The team or crew with the most points qualifies for the semi-finals. The other crew is eliminated.
In the semi-finals, the draw is repeated and 2 crew battles take place, with a new playlist and a new game leader. (Playlist should be the same for both semi-finals).
Again, the individual points are added up at the end, resulting in 2 finalists, who then play the final on Day X.
Each crew contributes 3 jobs for the individual playlists.
Each crew appoints a captain. (responsible for said points, as well as acting as a contact person).
Perhaps a prize can be added, for example a title or even a Playstation credit card worth €10, pounds or other currency for each individual participant. (Not much, but only serves the symbolic value). I would definitely sponsor the latter.
But before I write more, I would be interested to know if there would be any general interest in holding something like this. I would be happy about comments and participation in the vote.
PS: For live streamers, this would be a good way to promote their channel.
