Races
GCCC is proud to announce a new set of Verified jobs from 2021, adding to a roster of jobs. These can be thought of as the best jobs GCCC has to offer as voted for by crew members. They've made it through individual events, into a "best of" and fared well against their peers. These jobs are currently showcased in GCCC's Got Talent, as well as receiving a "GCCC Verified" label and fancy forum badge.
There's still a considerable backlog of jobs to verify from previous years that we are slowly planning on working through over the next few months. To save on time jobs may be without longer style blurbs (other than those provided by the author), if you have something lovely to say, or a video or stream (with time stamp please!) then please add something in the comments or on GTALens.

[HYBRID GP SPEEDWAY - 4WD RECCOMENDED] Miller never wanted to run the family fishery, he dreamt of smooth tarmac, banked corners, and the roar of high-speed racing. It took some shady dealings, a small criminal empire, and a lot of fish, but Miller finally got his dream. Weather set current - lap time 1:30mins - pit lane before start/finish (March 2021) **Big thanks to geenopa for the banking tips and excellent tutorial!

Dual-route Banked Speedway around Olympic Junction. (Both routes are exactly equal in length) You'll need eyes on a swivel in this combination of Contact, slipstream and merging racers. Restricted to sensible cars in each class except Supers. Laptime 2 mins.

The deliberately low grip banking provides a unique challenge in this high standard roval race perfectly suited to contact (& slipstream) racing. A particular high build standard which races best (IMHO) in Sedans and Sports; with that low grip a constant struggle to keep the backend in check ensuring the oval section is a joyous challenge to couple with the fast sweeping inner section.

Ovals rarely tickle my fancy but it's hard not to like this unique take on the genre with the shared sections providing a unique challenge to filter in and out of traffic (and that all important slipstream). Well built banking around a symmetrical which consistently manages to provide one of the very best oval experiences GTA has to offer.

A rare rainy delight mixing stunt roads with familiar inner city (particularly highway) sections. A fun challenging route particularly in the under used Comet SR (locked) which is tail happy in the dry and a real (but enjoyable) handful in the wet. Clear consistent propping throughout ensures this is only as tricky as it needs to be.

One of GTA's most inventive rally creators dips his toes in GP creating in this unique take on the (somewhat) familiar rally area around Hookies. A memorable build to squeeze a workable and challenging circuit into this rarely used area featuring a tricky downhill, lot's of twisty turns and unusual vehicle locks; both perfectly suiting this technical assault while also allowing drivers to take those cars otherwise gathering dust out of their garages. The huge elevation changes will keep you on your toes throughout and one of those rare tracks which thrives in the slower vehicles.

Fast track for Supers and Sports with a couple of tricky sections.
The area between Maze Bank Arena and the city's airport is well trodden for races but few have linked up the areas as well as this; with stunt roads used to create new links between more familiar road sections while still feeling "of the area" and fitting in with the rest of course. A fast full throttle kind of race but retaining enough difficult sections and subtle curves and elevation changes to remain interesting without breaking up the natural fast flow of the track.

Don't fall off or you may get burned...
A subtly difficult course that draws you into the trap of thinking everything can be full throttle, but will burn you should you push that little bit too much. Most vehicles lose a little grip through the highly elevated corners while the stunning "lava effect" will attempt to draw your focus away. The single best use of the infamous colour shifting / "seizure inducing" prop effect when placing them in exactly the same place I've seen in a race.

A real unicorn in the world of pure races in GTA; a prop only piece of art, fantastic technical course yet still with enough flow and also feeling like it could reasonably be part of the map. Set against the mountain this tightly packed course with artist flourishes is one of the best all prop races I can remember. It's characterful propping make it memorable but the course itself is a fun drive that will be sure to have you coming back for more.
