thats been the case for a while now , you need to keep the bob real steady to be able to pick up a car. and even than it falls off quite easily

Motocross City Square by erichears

Very impressive track of it’s time. However, as impressive as it is, It would be nice to play a version where the props are all sunk into the ground, meaning: no brick-walling.

Also, the first hairpin is a bit dodgy in my opinion. You’ve got the beach flag sticking, which can kill players who took it tight. However, if they don’t take it too tight, they run the risk of running too wide for the jump, in which you’ve not set the track boundaries before taking the hairpin.


Inside Out GP by atheistsw

Nice route, that was suited to the VVCBI cars.

However, the turn at CP 19 was a bit dodgy, as you couldn’t see the checkpoint until too late. I also saw a truck trailer, did you have the bottom covered, as people can get stuck under the truck trailer. I’d recommend bringing CP 16 back a bit, even if it means having it slightly before the apex, just so people can see the CP, and know to brake hard. Would also recommend pulling CP 17 back a bit. You’re shoving the CP into the corner exit, meaning you have to look about for the it. Have it before/on the apex. Not on the exit.

CP 19 is useless where it is. Maybe, pull it back to before you enter the wide roads at the bottom of the hill, if that doesn’t work, remove it. Where it currently is, it means you can’t see CP20 (Which you’ve also shoved into the corner exit, hindering visibility)

Also, I’d recommend moving the grid checkpoint to the right a bit. As you have to veer off the racing line to hit. You should have the grid CP, so that you can have your right tyres right next to the kerb on the right, if not able to graze it, and still hit the CP.

This may mean you aren’t able to fit 30 players with your current gird size. However, a small grid would be less annoying in a contact race, than hitting the CP being a one-man-line (which it currently is).

Great off road race for muscle car. Dummy proofing isn’t usually the standard with off road tracks, but if you wanted to, there was a ridge on the downhill, right hand turn where I fell off, that you could proof for me

I can’t remember if it was your track, but your track is the only track I remember with traffic cones. As a dynamic prop, when they’re hit elsewhere, they stay like that permanently. And when they’re hit on the track, they act in a similar way to a dropped lightbulb.

Besides that, This track was brilliant, and is still one of my favourite off road muscle car races, pipped to the top spot by Deadwood Rebellion.


Straight Outta Compact by nittydon

Great race for compacts, I quite like what you’ve done with the start/finish gates. Unfortunately, it leaves you with no props for lamp poles, of which are even more annoying when dropped, when you’re in a Panto.

Industrial Speedway by most-C-wanted

Great race that I think can work in any of the faster classes. Hay bales on the downhill are an annoying prop choice, due to the sticking out bits. I assume this is to prevent people going straight on and missing the following CP, which is quite good of you. However, prop surfaces are quite important in tight sections such as these. One of my favourites of the night, a very beautiful track also.

The Sandy Carousel by teddywd6

STILL, No credit in the description for the obvious inspiration from Oh_Darn’s PC track. All you have to say is “Inspired by Oh_Darn’s PC track”. You’ve acknowledged it in your track showcase on youtube, but not in your description, which is way more important.

Credit where it’s due (pardon the pun), I do think you’ve significantly improved the apex propping of the original, with the sunk platforms and the brown construction things that Ath hated, (which I liked how you’d done them).



Lucky Tree Circuit Deux by jimbob-STROUD

I like the smoothened corner on the final corner, not too exciting besides that. I think it has a nice flow. I prefer the original, this was just me getting a grip of the bridges. 

 Pedestrians are a pain on the 3rd corner (downhill left-hander). But, if I don't want to make the corner tighter by blocking the inside of the corner, to protect pedestrians. I'm going to leave pedestrians for to sort out. Ironically, I have to have noon, so the platforms look normal. But, noon is the worst time for pedestrians. 

I am aware of the invisible gaps in the bridge. However, I'm not sure I'll change it. It's just an aesthetic fault, I'd change it if I had LOADS of time. But, there are much more exciting things for me to build, and as it's just an aesthetic, it will stay.




Vitreous Speedway by theicide

I think the tyre stack on the lamp pole at CP9 should be swapped for a better prop, such as a concrete barrier. However,what lets this race down (A lot) is the fence section. You’ve managed it as well as you could with the route. However, I’d recommend a re-route. Even if it incorporates a crossover/overlap, it would still be better for contact racing than the fence route. The fences are a hazard regardless of whether it’s non-con or contact. Besides that, I really likes this track

Cypress Flats - El Burro by Y2J_2264

I thought this track was brilliant. However, I think the tyre wall chicanes let it down. I’m aware of the bumps in the first corner, which I assume is why you slow players down. But, there are much better props for the job. And on the other chicane, it is very tight and the prop angle is very unfriendly. Is the 2nd chicane really necessary?

Lindsay Circus by lancerevowrc

The best track of the night in my opinion. The only thing that may be worth changing, is blocking off the offramp after the chicane. To make it more obvious you’re not meant to go down there.

Thunderous Waynes Madness by cuz05

It’d be easy to overlook this one, based on my experience of this race. I think this race works best with people who have spacial awareness, which was apparently, very absent. This track was beautifully propped, and had very forgiving propping too, that was very smooth.

Pegasus 0.62 by coachwargo

I thought this was a great track, I was particularly keen on your use of trees. The one thing that let it down, was the grid checkpoint. I often found myself having to tuck in to hit the checkpoint, others weren’t fortunate enough to tuck in and missed it. I’d recommend setting the track limits with a wall of props, so if you do run wide, you’ve got some props to cushion you, so you don’t miss the CP.

The Dragon by smithyonetwelve

Really nice route. My only qualm was your use of cattle feeders. They’re a horrible prop in my opinion. Also, at the angle they’re at, it’s very easy to go too tight on the corner and have a head on collision with the prop.I believe that, you should only crash into corner propping on the side of your car, rather than directly at the front.

On Track by jcast39

The chicane in this track was not propped well. Fruits stands are very high, and make the chicane blind. You should use lower props, so you can read the chicane. This style of low visibility propping makes the track very hard for people who haven’t done the track to learn, and gives a massive advantage to the creator, (Who should know the route very well, if they’ve been testing thoroughly)

You said that this track was perfect for contact racing. I think the opposite; The lack of challenging corners means that a lot of time is lost trying to avoid hitting other racers, with a track that can be taken with hardly any hard braking, it means that releasing the throttle, so you don’t go into someone’s rear ruins you, as the next opportunity to make up time on them is very far away.

Why have you used tyre walls around CP 3-4? Not only you have got at least 1 not tucked in, meaning you can brick wall on it. You said it yourself, 1 barge = 2 tyre walls, which have a much better surface, you’d also be sticking to the prop theme by using platforms here.

Also, Checkpoint 11 should be pulled back, as it can be missed if you get close to the grass.

The Contact Playlist...

Last night has made me regret supporting the contact PL. I think it was better when contact races were impromptu. It’s very demoralising when someone uses you as their brakes, yet doesn’t understand why you’re annoyed, and carries on as if they’re manoeuvre was completely acceptable. I like the open nature of GCCC, in that anyone is welcome, provided they follow basic rules. However, it means that some players who are very unfamiliar with having to account for the car in front of them, when taking a corner ruin the experience for everyone else. It’s not their fault if they aren’t used to clean contact racing, but clean contact racing, for me, requires trust that your opponent is not going to use you as their brakes, and will show remorse if they do wreck you.

The impromptu nature allows us to take a look at the people in the lobby before making it contact. Of last nights PL3, Only about a quarter of the lobby were clean. Also Ath, I’d suggest you pull aside for 2/3 of the contact races.

Sorry. I've just realised I've failed to mention any of the positives of this track (which is bad of me). It may be because I've played the others, so I have positive experiences to not cloud my judgement.. And my experience of the contact playlist on sunday may have left with a very pessimistic stance on the playlist. Unfortunately, for you I haven't played the track elsewhere, to have any positive experiences. Another reason it may sound harsh, is it was the last one I wrote, at midnight, and I was very tired. 

Why wouldn't the platforms suit it there?
