GCCC Verified 2018
(2018 - Combat Jobs)
GCCC is proud to (belatedly) announce some of the very best jobs from 2018 from our backlog. The year may have brought Hotring Circuits, Nightclubs and the Arena to GTA online (with limited improvements to the way many creators play the game) but also a string of more exciting creator refinements. These include the ability to add 200 props, the target assault creator, transform creator (disappointingly locked to 16 players) and multiple advanced options on combat creators.
With these new tools, particularly the ability to create much more developed creations with the increased prop limit, creations reached a new level that continues to be refined upon today. These 8 LTS and 9 team deathmatches are sure to be good plays today, with a range of creator techniques and styles on offer.
Combat Jobs
Last Team Standing
! *DEATHRUN* ! by NYSQ_09 (Video)
Runners vs Snipers style. A particularly colourful example that's certainly a challenge for runners especially in larger lobbies. There's plenty of lovely details with the Mario Style props for the runners and Olympic rings behind the snipers as well as plenty of obstacles for the runners with explosive cannisters and sunken electrical props. Tanks, Hydra and Savage are available for the lucky and skilful. Snacks and Armour recommended.
KTB - Condo Space [LTS] by adamkthxbye (Video)
Pistols and Tear Gas and the weapons for choice in this ultra compact LTS around the Circular Condo in La Puerta. A ramp connects the floors above and below and become the key battle area while sneakier players can prosper around the central spiral. Despite the ample cover and tight arrangement the best tactic often is still to play aggressively and clear out at least the team below or above to stop yourself being stuck in the middle while the healthpacks and tear gas encourage movement. Great example of a tense tight combat based LTS.
- RPGs VS TurtleSliders - by VASCONI_ (Video)
A particularly high quality stunters vs rocket LTS from the stunt master Vasconi. As ultra smooth as you'd expect with a high build quality, especially making use of the "extra" stunt boosts to help the Osiris get up to speed. Also noteworthy for being particularly well balanced with both teams having a fair chance of victory against the sleek black and white colour scheme.
Ruined Fort Parkour by o_ManOfFire_o (Video)
Tomb Raider and other platform lovers rejoice in this great parkour based job around a purpose built fort around the Hills of Mount Josiah. Particularly noteworthy for the early use of stunt props but also the use of vegetation and more natural looking props to "soften up" the visuals making the job feel more authentic. Jets and Weapons await those that climb the fastest but also worth exploring lower down for a few shared areas and hidden weapons.
PIKO] Sniper by porkmodz (Video)
A pure sniper battle using the natural rooftops of Mission Row supplemented by some neat prop work and tight sand blocks. Working particularly well thanks to the height differences and uneven cover on offer meaning it's often hard to spot your opponents immediately while the sniping distance is about right without being a eye strain. For the sniper purists it doesn't get much better than this.
! MINIGUNS vs DELUXOS ! by DlSBY (Video)
Oddly jobs that use the more fun (or freemode ruining depending on your viewpoint) vehicles in GTA are relatively rare but this job helps address the balance with a smartly made weapons v Duluxo's setup. Although futuristic flying cars may sound fancier the rockets in particular bring the balance back to the weapons of the past meaning the Duluxo team will have to be accurate as well as sneaky to grab a round victory.
Ğ52 Long Ranger by geenopa (Video)
Who wants a dull eye test reading a string of letters off a board when you can get one playing GTA!? The sniper team are right on the edge of vision and although you may get the occasional lucky shot it's those with literally pinpoint accuracy that shine. A shining example that the best jobs that need a complex prop arrangement with just 3 towers enough to produce tense high skilled gameplay but also utilise a game mechanic to it's best.
Neon Nights - Panopticon by DlSBY (Video)
A tense tactical LTS thanks to the limited weaponry on offer with only 3 bullets in the initial Double Barrel Shotgun and scattered tear gas and melee weapons on the outskirts. The dancing floor and particularly delightful central structure (where additional ammo can be picked up) provide colourful eye candy too.
Deathmatches
Kororing Time by wan_kororin (Video)
The Mansions of Richman hardly see a wealth of deathmatches thanks tot he abundance of flow ruining walls, hedges and other map props that make the area awkward to say the least. With the inventive prop work though this issue is sidestepped, and often simply propped over, to create a coherent map with especially good use of height differences to split players line of sight without creating more clutter than necessary. Stand out, even among modern deathmatches for use of area.
Geometry II by prototypetom (Video)
When a job recommends a towel your interest is surely piqued and this doesn't let you down. A unique water tunnel leads to a central RPG; enough of a journey and challenge to successfully claim to prevent it becoming OP in a otherwise Pistol and Shotgun orientated map. A good example of using a simple geometric structure to create gameplay that's immediately accessible, easy to navigate but also produces good close quarters gameplay with centralised gameplay with explosives in the centre of the map.
Environ-Mental by prototypetom (Video)
A job at the larger end of the scale with a good combination of new large stunt blocks and more traditional older props in the under growth South of Fort Zancudo. The low powered Combat PDW ensures strategic gameplay particularly thanks to the few heightened sections that give players a good advantage without being too powerful.
Ardennes Forest by SLOBBER--DOG (Video)
A large open creator made forest provides the atmospheric backdrop backed up by some terrifically playful stunt prop placements. With a few ranged weapons (Heavy Sniper and Marksmen) supplemented by pipe bombs and default Special Carbine this job suits a range of play styles with the patient hunter attempting a sneaky flank while the more popular run and shoot tactic is still allowed to thrive. The pictured house and smoking centre point are the two stand out elements of the map.
Looper by prototypetom (Video)
3 teams. The Arcadius tower provides the centre point for a cleverly made map with split zones. Well suited to cyclical team gameplay with each zone showcasing a different prop arrangement and so a different play style to thrive while also showcasing the pinnacle of prop arrangement.
$ Inbustrialize by Scam144 (Video)
Re-make of Rockstar's Industrialize map. While the area may be identical to the original the look, feel and gameplay are vast improvements with some RnG elements but particularly good use of the containers to make the map still feel suitably industrial while the larger stunt props are used to properly filter the action. A larger expanse well suited to the Special Carbine but also very playable with owned weapons.
Altatude by o_ManOfFire_o (Video)
Well suited to night this multi-levelled map is a fantastic blend of run and gun elements with a close quarters cabin arrangement lighting the map mixed with more "sprawling" elements including particularly enjoyable multi-levelled action. The unique night-time visuals give the map a unique feel, particularly with the good use of more natural vegetation you could be mistaken this is a quiet stroll down a affluent well lit street until the bullets fly in from all directions.
[M^M] Circulated Shotguns by mixedupmike (Video)
Arcade-style deathmatches don't get much better with this bright yellow map from one of the best RnG map creators out there. The Assault Shotgun ensures fast paced gameplay while the tight blimp prop arrangement means there's little time for boring tactics like taking cover. Grenade Launcher available in the centre of the map for those skilled enough to make it there. A must-play in a fuller lobby for those that like the action fast.
'' THE BATCAVE '' by exmachina (Video)
This unusual superhero themed map uses some of the additional props to create a familiar enough "blocky" arrangement but which feels and looks vastly different with especially good use of the rocks to stop excessive shooting from cover. The lighting creates a eerie cave atmosphere particularly well. While the cave rooms and fancy lighting may give the map a "wow" factor the fundamentals of successful DMs are all there with well-scaled gameplay with just enough cover to be effective without ever getting in the way of movement.
