GCCC Verified 10
(2020 - Set #4)
GCCC is proud to announce the return of the GCCC Verified system for 2020. These can be thought of as the best jobs GCCC has to offer as voted for by crew members. They've made it through individual events, into a "best of" and fared well against their peers. These jobs are currently showcased in GCCC's Got Talent, as well as receiving a "GCCC Verified" label and fancy forum badge.
The jobs between this set of verified jobs and our last set are in a backlog that we are actively working through.
Races
Bangers
·Xero Car Crash by ToniFred82 (Video)
GTA mode available. Spare yourself the trouble of going out this winter with this indoor track especially well suited to the Bifta (and Compacts). It looks fantastic while racing just as well especially the elevation changes all too rare in indoor tracks meaning this oozes personality (with particularly nice signs doubling as flags) while still being easy to follow. The large banked turn is particular satisfying (when it goes right anyway!) in a track that's just as well suited to non-contact thanks to it's flowy nature.
ÔćÔ HOUSE OF WAYNE by meatcoffee
Verified as a GTA race this indoor bowl provides a carnage filled lobby thanks to it's intricate route with plenty of crossovers in a unusual bowl arrangement. Particularly notable for it's use of the train to add a dynamic element to jump over while being well suited to night thanks to the bright prop work and speed boosts.
Pure Races
KW#Motodrom Gelsenkirchen by Koning_Willy_NL (and help from powersjeremy13 ) (Video)
A rare verification for a oval (ish) track thanks to it's unusual level of detail with a superbly built coal plant and hint of a road network juxtapositioned with the surrounding forest. The circuit itself is particularly well suited to low grip classes such as muscles to draw you in as there's some subtle throttle control needed to get the very best lap times while those that enjoy slipstream tracks may enjoy the unique challenge of upping the laps to ensure backmarkers pay some part in the fun and games at the front.
Off-Road Races
Ğ84 O'Neils Speedway by geenopa (Video)
A old school land race with expertly build high banked corners around the rarely used channels around O'Neils Farm as well as the more familiar dirt tracks of Grapeseed. They'll lure you into a false sense of security before spinning you out if you dare ram down that throttle too aggressively. A throttle control challenge with a rare chance to enjoy the Outlaw buggy as you take in the surprising high quality workmanship of the O'Neil family.
R76} Harmony RX by Roar-76- (Video)
The dirt roads around the farmhouse (Meth lab for those still with MC businesses) provides a particularly rapid technical assault with a particularly tough but satisfying left-right combo towards the end of the lap while the banking makes it particularly satisfying to drive. Lap times are around 45 seconds making this very well suited to shorter Rallycross formats.
Stunt Races
CTTZ Multicolor Łube by cattaz
The stunningly built loop (which is near automatic, thankfully with colour assault which will flash across your screens) may be the centre piece to this one but it's the longer than average pure race section that sets this apart; particularly the smoothing to make roads many-a-pure-race-creator shy away from perfectly raceable, while also meaning this huge masterfully coloured stunt somehow feels part of the road network. Exiting the tunnel at full speed and going full pelt into Vinewood makes this a decent test of car control at speed.
Speed Shark #6 by o_ManOfFire_o
While the "best sea race" in GTA may not be the most competitive crown in the creating community this might just be it. The opening section threading the track through the bridges of Elysian Island set the tone of excellence in this one, quickly propped up with a pretty unique 360 loop (in a Seashark!) and wallride. The track has enough tight turns and jumps you'll need to precisely line up with to keep only the most skilled at the front.
Parkour
GG-PARKOUR--HÂKÙNA MÄTATÂ by GG-GAELIG (Video)
16 player transform race, average time somewhere around 10 minutes. A Freecrawler challenge featuring some particularly notable inventive prop work including a spiral staircase, as well as the usual tightrope and 90 degree jump sections. The real challenge comes just before the end in the form of a angled narrow set of turns requiring some careful throttle control before you get to enjoy a quick Cargobob to the finish. Standard mode available for smaller lobbies to utilise the Cargobob for some teamwork. Also available on PC.
Combat & Other Jobs
King of the Hill
# The Warzone by kossmo (Banned) (Video)
Military style vehicles and limited explosives ensure this map lives up to it's name without ever getting too frustrating thanks to being perfectly sized for the carnage bound to occur. A particular joy to use some of the toys Rockstar have added over the years but still manage to produce balanced gameplay, particularly as capturing a base tends to require daring to exit the safety of that armoured vehicle. Think Grand Senora Desert but better...and not in the desert.
Shipment - Domination by SLOBBER--DOG
This symmetric quadrant provides the close quarters battle ground in this Call of Duty recreation. The central base is worth more but will be hard to hold being relatively exposed from 4 sides meaning a more fluid movement around the outskirts may be favourable. Respawns are kept out of the way nicely with the outer corridors while the propwork is as solid as usual. Well suited to 2 or 4 teams.
Deathmatches
TDM: Girl In Grave Debt by agrajag
(Formerly "The Girl Who Owes Death") Fast paced linear action better suited to 2 teams in fuller lobbies, however up to 4 teams available. The middle-H upper section remains the powerful focal point in this brightly coloured deathmatch while there's just enough trees to help orientate first time players. A variety of weapons with the Combat MG better suited to the long range battles likely to occur on the lower levels while the AP Pistol can tear through opponents on the upper levels.
Last Team Standing
' RPG ' Whack'a'mole by enigmatim
A classic LTS setup of cars vs RPGs (and Grenade Launchers) may sounds like well trodden ground but this take on Whack'a'mole adds a very unique twist thanks to it's use of the dynamic "up and down" signs lifting up the Rocket team meaning both teams will have to be accurate and think quick to grab victory. Great concept executed with enigmatim 's usual level of detail and remarkably well balance to boot too.
