Use this thread to "book" a spot for a event, ask for any help running a event or volunteer to help in any way. This is also the place to let people know if you can no longer run a event.
Event's are one of (if not the) best thing about GCCC. They allow creators to share their hard work in a friendly atmosphere of other creator's looking to do exactly the same. There's a fair bit of work that goes into hosting a event so it may seem a bit daunting at first. Rest assured though there's plenty of people eager to attend and help host these events, and once you've hosted one or two you'll soon realise it's not too tricky after all. So if you've got time and energy to host (or help) here's the place the discuss some ideas and offer up any help you can offer.

Ways in which you can help
So if you want to host a event or just help out in some way then here's the place to offer and discuss ideas. Helpers or hosts are likely to make their way up the ranks so what are you waiting for?

- Run the event regularly and let people know via the social club wall if you can't run it on the day advertised. People give up their free time to attend so make sure you let them know if something comes up on the day of the (non) event on the crew wall. Better yet make the playlist a day early and ask for a back-up host here!
- Advertise the event regularly. We keep the crew wall clear of self-promotion so it can be used to advertise events. The newer the event the more it may need and if you have crew message power (commissioners only) then a run-up form of advertising (e.g. 4 hours to go, 3 hours...etc.) is a simple way to grab people's attention.
- Ask for any help. GCCC should all be about camaraderie and helping each other. Unsure of anything? Struggling to host regularly? Post something on this thread, tag in a few helpful members and help will come. The commissioners in particular are always happy to help.
- Get your forum thread in order (see hosting guide for all the info on that).
- Uphold the crew rules and ensure no banned members attend. In order to keep our events harmonious members previously banned aren't allowed in GCCC events and warn anyone who breaks the crew/ event rules (+ report to a commissioner if necessary)
- Host or backup host. If you've got some time and energy then why not start a event on something you're passionate about. Any type of event not currently covered by the schedule is fine (as is another "anything goes" event like Thirsty For More) at any free time (including Monday's which is vacated for the foreseeable future). 8-11pm GMT are generally the best times to host as it covers the late European crowd and early American one but anything that suits your schedule is worth trying.
- Co-hosting. Helping invite people to the lobby, send crew messages and resolving any mid-playlist arguments.
- Pre-event job testing. Testing jobs before the event to make sure the actual event contains the best jobs possible. If possible pointing out any issues to the creator so they are able to correct them.
- Forum posts. If your a computer wizz then making sure the forum post has the job list and a poll for attendees to vote for their favourite jobs. This makes sure that LGAH has the best jobs possible in it.
- Attendee lists. Producing attendee lists for events means that regular attendees can earn their promotion up the ranks and be rewarded for positive activity.
So if you want to host a event or just help out in some way then here's the place to offer and discuss ideas. Helpers or hosts are likely to make their way up the ranks so what are you waiting for?
