Winners Wednesday November 2015

Raceday Wednesday has 4 winners each week. Those 4 winners will enter WINNERS WEDNEDAY at the end of the month to compete against the winning races of the other Raceday Wednesdays of the respective month.

Rules:

As these races have all won a previous event already it would be redundant to list all of the rules again. Here are some of the most important ones again:

- The host may not change any settings except for turning catchup and slipstream off, so make sure your default settings are optimal for your race
- No owned weapons in GTA races! Only use the rocket and speed boost pick ups!
– No party chat; please use game chat only as this is a closed crew event!

Raceday Wednesday Format:

3 or 4 playlists (depending on the amount of Wednesday of that respective month) each containing 4 races. These races will be hosted by CCC_010 at 20:00 GMT and 9 pm EST (02:00 am GMT) by Danner1620 for US time zone folks. Being active and joining the session will give you bonus points towards the voting system (see below).

Raceday Wednesday Voting Policy

ALL VOTES WILL BE MADE ON THIS SITE. They will be made on that particular weeks topic. Each member will get 4 votes.
Every attendee votes for their top 4 picks, regardless of which playlists these are in (so if your favorite 4 races were all in playlist nr. 2, you can vote for all of those 4 races).

Votes will be counted as follows:

1st pick = 8 Points

2nd pick = 6 Points

3rd pick = 4 Points

4th pick = 2 Points

(As a non event attendee your votes will only count 50%)

You MAY vote for your own job, but honesty is highly encouraged. Having an objective view may be hard when you are emotionally invested but please be fair and treat your race as if it were a creation of somebody else!
Also I recommend writing a short review/remark about your top 4 pics, especially if you’re voting for your own race to get first place…

Votes WILL be visible for all to see on the weekly topic. Please include your PSN id if it differs from your name on here. You can also run Raceday Wednesday by yourself with your GCCC friends or others during the week and place your vote on the weekly topic. Just bookmark the playlist and off you go. Your votes will be considered as a non event attendee but still always worth being active in the crew.

Voting closes at 13:00 GMT each Tuesday!

The winners will be crowned Tuesday evening!

1st place WooHoo! Joined Seineones PL after, 9th place, oh well lol. Great track, feels really intense racing it, you never seem to really go slow at any point, just full on all the way.

Missed the RDW this was in, really enjoyed playing it, great race.

3) ${}$ Light FX Wallride by TheHalconian
I had fun making this one, took ages to pick a location once I'd templated the wall I wanted, probs my favourite from my recent builds.

(1) Mmmm... Donuts by Eric.Hears-A-Who - Just a superb race all-round, extremely impressive prop work and a flowing, logical and well-check-pointed route. Great build and so much fun, expect this one to feature in an 'Elimination Round' of RaceWars soon!

(2) TrackMania 04 by romain4stigy - Was pleasantly surprised by this arcade-inspired race, the loop to switch directions was fantastically executed and the fast-flowing nature of the track which required some quick and precise steering adjustments throughout was a joy to experience. Unbelievably I achieved a fastest lap as well, wonder if 49 seconds is all that quick though?

(3) ${}$ Light FX Wallride by TheHalconian - A short but sweet wallride with a uniquely illuminated design in between a fun off-road route designed for SUV's. Was instantly curious when I saw this published on SC and it didn't disappoint with a great execution throughout! No less than I'd expect to be honest.

(4) °S80° Scream!! by superalex-80 - I sucked HARD at this one, not even managing to successfully complete the epic wallride once, but even so, I could appreciate the great build and the huge challenge this presented and the concept of being so low to the water was something I've not personally seen before. Only slight criticism would be that the initial entry ramp is oddly angled just after a bump in the ground which made lining up for the initial flip onto the wall a bit of a hit or miss experience for me.

Honourable Mentions:

blisters Rollercoaster 20 by blister567 - Worked the first two laps perfectly despite many others having issues due to the sheer number of players on the stunt but on lap 3 it took me three attempts to successfully traverse and I ended up slipping from 2nd to a still respectable 5th. Also the initial start is confusing and those palm trees ahead are a pain in the ass with a large grid of ghosts! To be perfectly honest, despite the obvious skill and difficulty in building these things I don't really get impressed any more as their automatic nature means they just kind of blur into one another.

¢¢¢ X marks the Spot by CCC_010 - Pretty fun race, I did like the design of the ramps and wallrides using the 'X' shapes overlapping but, removing the central gimmick, it wasn't hugely original or impressive on a grander scale.

$-The Jetsons by seineone - Would have made my top 4 but for the infuriatingly inconsistent nature of the leap up to the platforms by the FIB building, too many failures which resulted in a stilted race experience.

However, props to the wallride through the construction site and the excellent layout, if you can find a way to make that high jump work more reliably this will be a real winner.

!Red is the way forward! by alanbold1983 - Very nice layout for this race, all stunts worked smoothly, I could never hit the spiral first time but that's just me, I need more practice on these damn things! I actually only DNF'd right near the finish line which I considered an achievement lol!

Stunts Trip
Very Challenging and well working stunt and I enjoyed the challenge that came with completing it at once.

Pink n Blue
I said before, simple race, lighting won us over.

Entity Coaster
Loved this smooth well built coaster. Track was a challenge in itself and it worked in other cars.

Scream
I had previously made a smaller scale similar race so I like this kind of race. It is very challenging and smooth but I dnfed each time. Maybe make another with rain and big waves as a sequel?

Hounarable mentions:
Everything else. Amazing playlists full of amazing jobs. On the right day they each could've won.
