Air Ground War : GTAOnline
A few guys in the Damned crew, and friends used to play an Event on GTA IV called Air Ground War. It was extremely popular as it was organised and chaotic, giving skilled pilots the ultimate test.
The basic premise is a team of very skilled helicopter pilots vs a team skilled of free aim shooters.
We cannot fully replicate the experience, as team balancing options are removed from TDM in GTAOnline, but we could possibly recreate the custom mode in GTA Capture. I'm looking for the help of the creator community with this event. I've got a few creators in mind, let me know if you can help.
What's needed?
We need a Capture Map, that the team of Helicopter pilots can't win, and the Team of Ground Shooters, can't win, or it's extremely difficult, and they're on foot, and therefore it encourages the game to become a battle of Ground Combat vs Air Combat, so rather than a 'Capture', it's dependent on Kills, rather than Score.
The location shouldn't be out in the open too much, but equally it shouldn't be confined.

Potential Issue:
Need to ensure that the skilled helicopter pilots spawn as the Air Team, and the skilled shooters spawn as the ground team. I don't know how the game determines team 1 or team 2 via lobby, at a guess is the host's team, always Team 1?

Specific Request:
Air Team to respawn in buzzard attack helicopters, but also have initial access to Valkyrie Choppers, to recreate scenes reminiscent of Apocalypse Now
Ground Team shouldn't be able to drive off, or enter tunnels.
Don't worry about Weapon spawns, but Mounted, unmovable gunner positions might be a good addition at certain, locations, perhaps they could be checkpoints (Take into account chopper's advantages - These aren't your average Joe pilots, they're first person killing machines able to dodge to homing missiles) so high rise buildings would be of more benefit to the ground team, and make it a little more challenging for the Air team, health packs / body armour perhaps could help mark these locations.
