Some new faces to GCCC in the line up of jobs. I look forward to seeing more of their jobs in future racewars.

Can't wait to see ranking table, should've moved up a bit after today's excellent performance, think i may get fooked more often as hanging was an understatement but done a lot better than usual lol

A great night of racing and, even if the attendance numbers were down on what they usually are (no doubt due to the excesses of a particular pagan holiday) the quality of the tracks more than made up for it! Lots of awesome battles were had in a wide variety of vehicles, we actually had at least ONE race in everything, even the SUV's got a look-in! 

The Rum Runner by nittydon

A sports classic circuit to kick things off and I gave a debut to my newly acquired Pigalle which, thanks to strong grip and adequate speed, did a decent job of keeping up with the ubiquitous Stirling GT's! I like the smooth flowing nature of this track which is minimally propped save for a nicely position chicane near the end which can catch drivers out and I managed to snatch 6th place right at the death from wtr19078893 after he became it's latest victim! 

[PS4]_Go-Quad-Kart_ by some12hate

A compact little track layout around the docks which is superb on the Blazers, has had a recent revision utilising the floating barges but this only serves to make the elevated section of the track even smoother and more intuitive. The Blazer is one of those rare vehicles that seems much easier to handle in first-person view and, after an early (3rd person) error I settled into a nicely consistent groove and finished 4th overall!

A very cool layout with some interesting propping that's not always successful, some of those prop clusters used to prevent the cutting of corners could be better served elsewhere, for instance several of the diversions onto highway on-ramps are rather blind and have a habit of coming upon you suddenly and have no props to provide a visual warning on approach. I chose a bad time to give a debut to my new Benefactor Surano and the bumpy and uneven surface, coupled with my sheer unfamiliarity with the vehicle caused me to make too many mistakes and finish way down the pecking order. 

Holy Buttf*cking $hit! by AJ

Superb layout for compact cars, the triple hairpin medley near the start is a real handful and the rear-wheel drive Panto's and Rhapsody's are much better suited to this one than the understeer-heavy Blista's! I just love the section after these hairpins as well, some great propping provides a follow-through that then curls around the outside of the dock edge towards the finish. Had a decent race in my own Rhapsody but perhaps a tad too over-cautious which caused some crucial seconds to be lost and 5th place my final position.

Patriot Playground GTAV by samcro14

Heard some groans that the vehicle wasn't suited to the track but to be perfectly honest I think it just requires a little finesse and patience to succeed. Yes, it's bumpy terrain but the key to this one is knowing when to let off the gas to be able to straighten up your vehicle after hitting one of the many bumps around this tough course through the Zancudo grasslands. The first checkpoint caught a fair few people out as it's not entirely clear that you need to go left and a few players carried on along the road oblivious! Personally I like the route, it's a challenge but perhaps you could use props to create better visual guides as to the positioning of the checkpoints? Perhaps flags or something similar either side of the checkpoint could give a really cool themed element to proceedings. I won this race, no doubt benefiting immensely from having played it several times previously, although I did manage to inexplicably drown my car midway through lap 2, really strange as never had this issue before as the swamp is generally shallow enough to drive through unimpeded.

db -GP/Rally- by oakes

Another inspiring course from oakesfresh with some really fabulous propping to create smooth and visually attractive apexes for the majority of the road corners and some unique off-road propping to help turn a fairly standard race layout into something quite special. I enjoyed this race immensely, my Jester was a superb match for the mixture of twisty mountain undulations and a brief dirt sojourn and I had a really close battle with Mandible_Claw- for the majority of the race but could never quite close the gap and in the end had to settle for a runner-up spot. 

TRL Lowrider by jimbob9699

Buccaneer vs Faction in this small course around the hood, a good job with the propping here and the majority of the hazards are either protected or clearly defined meaning it's much easier to concentrate on the task at hand! The Buccaneer seems slightly slower than the Faction which took the top 4 places and I rolled home in 5th in the knowledge that I could have been much higher but for a couple of small errors, a couple of people seemed to get hung up on a few of the roadsigns etc that managed to get strewn across the place, knowing you have plenty of props left over in your budget perhaps do something to protect these too?

HANGAR KARTING by Dr Krablander

My hat really goes off to the creator of this incredibly constructed interior go-kart track inside the Fort Zancudo hangar. Not only does it look fantastic but it is super smooth and I can only imagine the patience that had to go into building this in a restricted area as well as trying to fit so many checkpoints into such a tiny area! I'm not exactly sure how many times around equals a lap, I think it may be 5 but anyway, I lost count, mesmerised by trying to forge the smoothest, shortest route through the course and eventually came up short to jimbob's inhuman driving ability to settle for another runner-up spot.

Rally X - Senora Springs by atheistsw

I was inspired by the earlier track of oakesfresh to try and adapt his prop styles for my own race with mixed results. While I like how the props look visually they do have a tendency to act like ramps if you hit them and can hinder a racers flow. That said, the banked nature means they are much kinder to racers who only slightly get their line wrong or under-brake and at least they don't stop your vehicle dead! Further experimentation is required to try and find an optimum angle for these barriers I think before I apply the style across the board to my entire series of rallycross races. Finished 5th in my trusty Ruiner.

Bridge The Gap II by theicide

Long sequel to the original that we ran in Supercars and I for once had a pleasant experience with my T20! Lot's of super-fast sections mean the long distance is not too much of an issue although I did go flying off the track on lap one thanks to a blind crest just before the road turns and this meant I landed on the freeway below and had to reset losing far too much time.  Perhaps either place props to warn of this or maybe create a chicane beforehand that forces drivers to slowdown? In any case, on lap 2, knowing it was coming I was prepared, stayed on the left-hand side and soared through the air on the optimum line, so it's just a case of first lap blues that needs to be addressed. Was happy to finish 6th, there may yet be hope for me get along with the T20! 

Over And Under Bridges by LancerEvoWRC

An old favourite of mine, I was pleased to see the creator, LancerEvoWRC of NODO had recently joined GCCC allowing me to showcase this fantastic track in the event! Not the most original track layout granted, but so well propped and check-pointed that it just plays like a dream and is absolutely brilliant in 'Coupes'. One of those tracks where the extra speed of the Felon comes on in handy, so my Zion lost out on the straights and I had to settle for a 4th place finish.

Centre-Ville 9 by Pardonias

The suggestion to play this using SUV classes was acknowledged as we rarely use this class for races but unfortunately I shot myself in the foot here as on my second character my only custom SUV was a classic Baller and those are horrendous for racing! As a result I used a stock Huntley and, despite a good start where I managed to keep the pace it's sheer lack of acceleration meant I slipped down the pack, exacerbated by a mis-controlled corner that caused me to come to a dead halt, further losing precious seconds where I was, briefly, overtaken by Cypher in the Sheriff's Granger! Thankfully I recovered well enough to finish 7th! I really like the layout of the track, the propping is very neat and tidy and I'd be very interested to try this with something a little quicker!

I see deej has made quite a few of these 'barge courses' in the last few weeks but this was my first experience and it was great! At only 40 seconds a lap it could really do with 5-6 laps by default but even so, it's so damn smooth it just flies by! Great concept to make an almost completely man made track (save the start/finish line on the road, negating the troublesome 'spawn' issue with barges) and being able to place the props wherever you want can only provide lots of unique settings within which to race! Sports works like a charm here, I was neck and neck in my Jester with Mandible_Claw- Feltzer for the entire race and only a sudden and unexpected bit of oversteer caused me to slide the back end out on the exit of the final corner and see victory cruelly snatched from my grasp!

Echorock: NFS by kidovey

This is the 'Noob Friendly Sister' version of a track we played way back when, with many of the more punishing sections reworked to be a lot kinder to poor drivers! I like the layout of this one a lot and it works in all classes but I chose 'Sedans' for this particular outing and spent the majority of the race in my Intruder battling for 5th place with Pardonias in his Fugitive. Spoiler: I won!  

Hairpins Ahoy by jcast39

Ran this final race of the night on two wheels and it worked very well, I really like the layout and would be intrigued to play it in four-wheeled vehicles at a later date, those hairpins are nicely sequenced together and I imagine it would be rather technical in cars! I was up near the front for most of the race but a couple of pesky poles ruined my race and I finished 3rd. Couple of small points: The penultimate CP is unnecessary and easily missed, just make that section 1 CP instead. Also, both times I crashed and re-spawned I ended up facing the wrong way, try and make it so when players respawn the next CP is in visible range or, if that's not possible at least ensure they are facing the right direction on the track! 

Yeah Ath, had no idea Raton8 was being used for this weeks Racewars, its not really complete yet, was only published for test purposes. If any of my tracks have 'Gg' as a description this means they are incomplete. Yes, 6 or 7 laps would be default settings, most of my races are tuned for a +4 mins finishing time for the winner.
