I have next week off from so maybe I can play all of the races tonight. If I can stay awake.

My internet connection was terrible. Jimbob was glitching everywhere and when he got close to me, my frame rate just dropped to nothing. Several times it froze completely as he showed up on my screen. The only 2 races i did well in in the first 2 playlist were the 2 which i could stay far enough ahead of him and everyone else so it did not create a problem.
In the sedan race i was leading, made a small mistake and Jimbob caught me up which sent the game crazy and i lost 16 places in 1 lap.

I have this when i race against Smithy or Maci in NODO crew. If they are in the race my game just slows down.

The 3rd playlist was not much better starting mid pack. as soon as everyone got going the screen just died and i would just end up in a wall or post. Then in the off-road muscle race the dust actually froze the screen completely until everyone had gone past. I gave up in the end, just racing stock cars and messing about. It was just impossible to play and really pissed me off (not to mention the wife complaining because i would not help her with some computer work. Got a right telling off i can tell you) 

In fact my connection was so bad that i could not even tell you which races were good and which i would vote for as i never got a clear lap apart from the 2 races i won due to being out front at the first corner. 

Another fun night of racing! Amazing attendance for all three playlists, some great racing action and a really cool compact car meet in between, which was sadly trolled by someone soon not to be a GCCC member! Casino Speedway by owenoldskool

Classic speedway around the casino area in 'Supercars' to kick off the evening. The first chicane outside the entrance can be taken at quite a speed if you get your line right, but the bump just before the optimal breaking point can throw a major spanner in the works if you get it wrong!  

The C Bomb by nittydon

Worked well with compacts. Almost flat out through most of it which meant care had to be taken with your entry and exit lines. My Blista under-steered considerably but it was a bit more stable than the Rhapsody or Panto, particularly on the undulating parts of the road so it evened things out, although their superior speed ultimately won I got 5th and the highest placed Blista in the pack! 

The De Leon by teigenberry

Uh-oh! 30 players and traffic DO NOT mix! I was lucky to get out in front early on so managed to avoid most of the carnage behind me but from the frequent groans heard on the mic I could tell that the traffic was lagging BAD and causing all kinds of unforeseen incidents! I really do like this route which takes in some of the best driving roads on the map but, in hindsight, probably would have been better to play with traffic turned 'OFF'! 

Alley Oops-a-Daisy by atheistsw

My track is best described as 'extremely technical' and maybe setting it to the speedy 'Sports' class was a baptism of fire for most! In fairness though, this is a track that is designed to be mastered over multiple attempts, with some tricky sections that can, with practice, be taken surprisingly fast. I used my 9F and it was quite a challenge, looking at the final standings the Feltzer is probably the optimum car to use here thanks to its nimbleness and agility through tight spaces but for those looking for a gentler run, perhaps a slower class such as Coupes or Sedans may be best.

RallyX - Kuruma vs Sultan by barfy86

Enjoyed a thrilling neck and neck battle for pole with Mandible_Claw- almost all the way through this one and surprised even myself by just snatching the win on the final corner! A straight up shootout between the two Japanese tuner favourites, I kept things fair by restricting choice to stock cars and was able to prevent the notoriously top-heavy Kuruma from ending up on it's roof for an entire race! Definitely discovered that the best way to tame this beast is to break early into the corners, trying to power-slide unfortunately seems a sure-fire way to end upside-down! 

The V.V.C.B.I Grand Prix by Y2J_2264

I'm a big fan of the five stock vehicles chosen for this race, they really are very well balanced and all offer pros and cons that can affect your decision. I opted for the Cheetah and was amazed to end up on my roof right at the start as I didn't see the practically camouflaged stunt ramp that was at the end of a road just before turn 1, perhaps this can be blocked with a prop? The route is generally quite good, although the section across the narrow canal bridges felt totally out of place and ill-suited to the vehicles in question. Also, some of the corners are oddly propped, with tyre stacks placed on apexes for seemingly no good reason? A few interesting chicanes are EXTREMELY tight and could do with some better propping to announce their imminence sooner and the final chicane atop the highway on-ramp is propped with THREE tyre stacks and frankly felt a bit trollish. Overall it's not a bad race, but based on the high standards of jayjay's past entries this one was something of a disappointment nonetheless.

Pub Brawler by jimbob9699

Muscle car race through Senora, with some long, dirty straight sections punctuated by a few 90 degree corners through the trailer park. Not a massive fan of the use of those huge blocks if I'm totally honest, they're a little too overkill for my liking. I see what you were going for with the rail-road crossing section, although perhaps a better prop could have been used as those fences are somewhat in-distinctive, I was pretty peeved to hit one of them on my second lap which totally buggered my race up! The first hairpin turn at the end of the airstrip offshoot is very wide and is a little difficult to see where the apex point is, perhaps place a tree or something there to better provide a visual guide to racers?

Chi Chi Wow by AJ

Nicely propped track that I decided to run in 'Coupes' in the end after some loud protests against my original choice of 'Sport's Classics'! Honestly, i'm not sure what the big deal would have been, think it would have suited them just fine!  Really liked the final section of the track which offers a a combination of chicanes with a find-your-own-route style flow that can make or break your race while the section through the narrow Rockford streets offers a fine juxtaposition to the earlier speed frenzy. Bonus points for the amusing description and shout-out to the humble pandas! 

Rocking the suburbs by Andre_HoBa

Short track that played out extremely competitively with the Sedans, even if it became a predictable Schafter-fest! I like how each and every corner had multiple ways to approach it with risk vs reward a key factor to take into consideration. A lack of protective propping on lamp posts could be considered a minor quibble but thankfully they didn't cause too much issue and instead a close fought battle was endured with places frequently swapped throughout. I spun on the final corner on lap 4 and lost several places but fought my way back to where I was and pipped Mandible_Claw- for 6th as he missed the checkpoint cutting the final corner too fine on the last lap! 

[PS4] Off the Wall by some12hate

Great use of the sunken sideways barges to define this track and create both chicanes and barriers. Agree with some others about the trees on apexes looking a little strange but still, more than effective! This is a tricky track through some notoriously difficult driving roads but it's well defined throughout and the propping has a lot to do with that. There was a funny moment where I caught back up to the leaders as the train crossed right in front of them leaving them no choice but to wait as it passed, I arrived just in time to see it completely disappear allowing the front two to continue on their way. With traffic 'OFF' I guess this incident proves that  don't consider the train 'traffic' any more than pedestrians that wander across the road in front of a speeding pack of race cars!

Straights and Turns by jcast39

Decided to dust down the ol' Zentorno and give it a maiden voyage, unfortunately it seemed underpowered against the Osiris and T20 on this largely flat-out track. Can't believe I crashed on the final downhill section leading to the finish, got distracted by somebody else (mandible?) who had also spun and flipped my car over theatrically, then lost three places as I agonisingly tried to get back to top speed inches from the finish line! Definitely a race made for contact racing (and maybe slipstream as well?).

Sandy Buns by dillono

I think there was general agreement this was not best suited to the 'Muscle' class, although in fairness I can see the Rally-X style you were going for with the route. Perhaps it would be better with 'Off-Road' class instead? There were a few parts that were a little suspect. A jump off the edge of a cliff was more troublesome than it needed to be thanks to the ramps you have chosen blending in a bit too much with the rock and foliage, I'd recommend standard ramps here instead and maybe some flags either side as visual aids? Speaking of which, why was there a normal ramp at an odd angle on the right-hand side of the dirt road leading up to the railway crossing? Certainly not to hit as it would most definitely have flung you at a horrible angle to a almost certain fiery death! The ramps to transition across the rail-road worked nicely although I recommend making the hairpin turn at the end of the runway a single CP rather than the close-knit double CP you have now and then some better propping is needed to help visually guide drivers the right way across the dirt to the start/finish line. Despite these complaints, on lap 2, once I knew the route I rather enjoyed myself so perhaps leave 'Muscle' as an option but not the default with any revisions you do?

A-Maze-Ring by kidovey

I left the time and weather current and opted for 'Sports Classics' and wouldn't you just know it, the heavens decided to open! This made the race a lot trickier than normal as even the usually stoic Stirling was fishtailing everywhere and hard revs resulted in unexpected doughnuts in the middle of the road!  It also made the final corner leading to the start/finish and pit-lane extremely precarious and TWICE I managed to completely miss the checkpoint by sailing helplessly past it! The pit-lane caused the most problems though, it wasn't until lap 3 that I (and many others) realised that the pit-lane was NOT the tricky final chicane we thought and that there was a perfectly straight entry road to be taken on the far right side instead! Most frustratingly, on the final lap I again got disorientated and ended up down the bloody pit-lane again, even though I thought I was on the right track this time! Definitely needs better propping to make it much clearer visually which route is which and that final corner could be looked at as well as it's ambiguity doesn't particularly help matters particularly in bad weather!

Hookies Rally-X by theicide

Really enjoyed the route of this one, suits 'Muscle' class perfectly and offers a nice mixture of dirt and tarmac driving. The use of the barges is pretty well done, especially the hairpin turn right after the notoriously bumpy esses along the GOH and particularly where you've used them to allow a route not normally suitable for non-off-road vehicles. I also really dig the way the final section seems to coil around and down the hill towards the beach, it just feels so good to drive! The route through Raton Canyon is fraught with danger and several times, despite my best efforts, I ended up in a sticky situation, this is certainly one of the more technical rallycross tracks out there and all the better for it! Although we didn't make use of it last night I have played this under proper rallycross regulations before and I really liked how the joker lap went through the parking lot of the Hookies diner, good job on that as well!

Having sampled this in 'Sports' in FPS420 Friday a couple of days earlier, I was a little disappointed that jjn1lfc hadn't made the changes this track desperately needed so it became the obligatory motorcycle race of the night, where it's poor propping was largely a non-issue. For the love of the unholy I don't understand the purpose of having the lit airport signs practically flat on the ground, rendering them pretty much pointless as both a barrier and a warning of what's to come! My advice is to use those barriers the normal way and use the props you've wasted writing your name above the start/finish line for further propping of the racing area.  In fairness this was a good route for motorcycles and provided a very fast paced ride, although my race was ruined on lap 1 as I was thwarted by a riderless motorcycle which ricocheted off the low wall and into me, sending me to the back of the pack! In a race this fast that was a death sentence, I cannot understand why don't fix this seriously irritating issue that plagues non-contact racing?!?

Thanks for the feedback ath, I myself wondered if that section would work, this was the last race I made before quitting GTA Online so it may be a while before this race gets an update.

'Quit' as in quit. There are better games out there for me, MGS V, AC Syndicate, Battlefront. Need to play better games. I'll be briefly online tommorrow to see the lowrider update but thats it.

I had that in a couple races where it freezes and is the 1st time it has ever happened to me in over 2 years of playing GTA, it was almost as if I had been split or that's what i thought as everyone around me had completely stopped and froze but I was still driving and then 10/15 seconds later everything started moving again, thanks for reminding me as will go back through my stream to see it again lol
