Winners Wednesday September 2015

Raceday Wednesday has 4 winners each week. Those 4 winners will enter WINNERS WEDNEDAY at the end of the month to compete against the winning races of the other Raceday Wednesdays of the respective month.

Rules:

As these races have all won a previous event already it would be redundant to list all of the rules again. Here are some of the most important ones again:

- The host may not change any settings except for turning catchup and slipstream off, so make sure your default settings are optimal for your race
- No owned weapons in GTA races! Only use the rocket and speed boost pick ups!
– No party chat; please use game chat only as this is a closed crew event!

Raceday Wednesday Format:

3 or 4 playlists (depending on the amount of Wednesday of that respective month) each containing 4 races. These races will be hosted by CCC_010 at 20:00 BST and 9 pm EST (02:00 am BST) by Danner1620 for US time zone folks. Being active and joining the session will give you bonus points towards the voting system (see below).

Raceday Wednesday Voting Policy

ALL VOTES WILL BE MADE ON THIS SITE. They will be made on that particular weeks topic. Each member will get 4 votes.

Every attendee votes for their top 4 picks, regardless of which playlists these are in (so if your favorite 4 races were all in playlist nr. 2, you can vote for all of those 4 races).

Votes will be counted as follows:

1st pick = 8 Points

2nd pick = 6 Points

3rd pick = 4 Points

4th pick = 2 Points

(As a non event attendee your votes will only count 50%)

You MAY vote for your own job, but honesty is highly encouraged. Having an objective view may be hard when you are emotionally invested but please be fair and treat your race as if it were a creation of somebody else!

Also I recommend writing a short review/remark about your top 4 pics, especially if you’re voting for your own race to get first place…

Votes WILL be visible for all to see on the weekly topic. Please include your PSN id if it differs from your name on here. You can also run Raceday Wednesday by yourself with your GCCC friends or others during the week and place your vote on the weekly topic. Just bookmark the playlist and off you go. Your votes will be considered as a non event attendee but still always worth being active in the crew.

Voting closes at 14:00 BST each Tuesday!

The winners will be crowned Tuesday evening!

1) Panto Villa by Eskorbuto2487 - Such reply value, amazing getting a panto to do a spiral! Nice race around too!

2) Padrao P1R4 by BIRUTAO_007 - Just love this minimally-proofed stunt with some amazing flips!

3) Arcadius Flag Loops by Cynical_Creator - Pretty lights! I can only do this in 1st person but that just adds to the effect! Great use of natural props!

4) $-Alakazam by Seineone - Not only is the spiral into the bridge amazing, but love the other two wallrides and fast-paced track!

A very difficult decision choosing 4 out of all of these amazing creations!

Winners Wednesday is always a hard one to make picks since I base my decisions on many factors outside my own performance during these events. But after a nights consideration and a replay of many of these on my own this morning here are my picks for this month:

1)Crash n Burn XXL by Shantu_786 A upsized remake of an earlier job using the new creator tools this fast, fun race that appeals to skilled and unskilled stunters at any level. Three huge stunts dominate this race with a superb wallride that plays well in both 3rd and 1st person mode. Playing with the GTA mode on truly adds to the thrill of this course with flat open areas between stunts for extra long rocket shots and huge wrecks and explosions on the wall. I've used this in my own event and it will be bookmarked as a fav, truly one of the best of September for me.

2)¢¢¢ AIR JORDAN by CCC_010 I'm a sucker for jump races, it's what led me into the GCCC back on the PS3 and this one doesn't disappoint. A big lap course, well laid out through the streets of LS with spot-on checkpoints between humongous jumps. This one is fun to play in 1st person mode with those great big air flying car moments. "L1" indeed...

3)$-Alakazam by Seineone This was my 1st try at this course since I missed the RDW the week this ran. I got to admit I didn't warm to this job at first because of my own dislike of the use of "stunt cameras" on the first stunt but after knowing at what point it triggers I compensated for it somewhat better. This is an amazingly fun race with some 3 big stunts that should appeal to most skill levels and using a map glitch for a really funny "alakazam" effect. The wall ride behind the billboard is beautiful, loved playing this in 1st and 3rd person modes.

4)(^_^) Entity Dragon by shantu_786 Another great offering this month from his Shantubeness, this very quick lap race runs like shit through a goose...very smooth if you hit it all clean. I struggled at first on the initial short wall ride since I was trying to force my car instead of letting speed and gravity blow me through it. The crazy roller coaster loop thru the bridge is hilarious the way it poops you out to the finish line. I've run this in my own event and it plays well in any mode and for pretty much any skill level driver.

Again this months Winners were truly that and I could dissect them all one by one on my likes and dislikes but, I'd rather quit typing at this point and get back to playin' and creatin' some more fun. Amazing creations one and all, you truly keep my interest in this game going on so keep on, keepin' on my friends...

First, let's get the obvious out of the way. (1) Alakazam has no peer, maybe ever. Seine currently has 156 races published (just checked), and I consider this his crowning achievement. Yes, a few might have required a more tedious build, contain a more jaw-dropping stunt, or even had a better race track, but this race is greater than the sum of its parts and the whole of any before it. There is absolutely zero creator error, and it's a blast to play. I could go on, but I'll spare everyone... I'll just say this and Dill Billy 9 are currently my #1 and #2 in game and the respective high water marks for which all creators should strive.

(2) An Unlikely Broken Spiral takes second for me. It doesn't seem to be getting its deserved praise for some reason; perhaps this is due to many just not having enough experience on it. I wrote what I loved about it last week, so I won't go into too much detail, but I assure all of you, it gets better and better with age. The naysayers will soon look back and say, "Holy fuck, Paul. You were spot on."

The first two were clear cut for me. Beyond that is a very cloudy group of shit-hot creations that I'm having the hardest darn time choosing between. Shantu's Entity Dragon is just fantastically fucking awesome. Cynical's Arcadius Flag Loops is an inspired build from our resident evil genius. db -Racing Wall- is perhaps the smoothest inclined wallride I've ever seen. Bridge Rider is vintage Halconian in its wide to narrow stunt progression, utilizes a natural wall, and is wonderfully fun... H1 is really great too. I can't seem to keep Jager's Triple Walls out of my playlists operating under the illusion that I can one day get my name on the leader board. The Panto races are a personal weakness of mine, and I loved both. Krusty invented the Nascar style race out of barges, which has inspired many followers and a series. CCC multi-propped the shit out of a jump race that has perfect lines and landings. Crash and Burn is a hoot. Padrao is a solid challenge wall with beautiful transfers, and Moto-shake is flat out creative.

So, a bit out of the ordinary, and you guys can force me to choose if you want... but I numbered the remaining races (excluding my own)

2) PK Gonzo Park by Paul Kemp - I love jump to wallrides without the flipper. fast fun great checkpoints.

3) Air Jordan by CCC010 - Big fan of the jump race. Fun Big air, good landing areas.

4)JGR13 Triple Walls by Jager1381 - Fast rippin wallrider. smooth sailin. easy flow.

Amazing month! Very hard to choose. I changed my mind several times. Awesome job everyone, can't wait for the next one!

1) $-Alakazam by Seineone - This is one of the best races I've ever played. I like how it's not just one stunt, it's 3 really fun and smooth stunts on a great track! The spiral idea is amazing and the title makes perfect since! That must have been really tricky to build. This race really deserved No. 1.

2) ${}$ Bridge Rider by TheHalconian - I really like how the little jump sends you into the containers to line you up for a really smooth spiral to wallride. It was hard to transition from the spiral to the wallride at first, but once you got used to it, it was a really smooth and clean stunt. I also really like how he incorporated the bride in his stunt. Really amazing!

3) ! JGR13 TSL Triple Walls by Jager1381 - This race has an amazing, short track with great checkpoint placement and awesome stunts. I've never had a problem with the line up containers or anything. All of the wallrides are really short and easy to do-which makes a great, fun race.

4) PADRÃO P1R4 by BIRUTAO_007 - Even though I don't understand the name of this race, it was truly amazing. Everything about it, from the mini-jump to the 4 wallrides (I think there was 4). Once you hit that bottom container on the first wallride, you basically just had to hold R2! Or at least that's how it worked for me. This must have been really hard to build in the old creator especially since containers were used for the switcher. Really fun race!
