GCCC's monthly event hosted by: Dr_Geo

Starting 25/02 @8pm GMT (7:30pm GMT 30min pre-lobby)

Submissions for the event Here

Theme: This is a 'capture' and 'anything but a super' race, mixed event.

Steal our admiration with your capture submissions and show us what you have to offer then, race into another league separate from the super class elitist mainstream with your racing creations of all kinds that don't use a 'super'.

The Event will be 2 hours long, consisting of 2 mixed playlists FT. mainly 'capture' missions (depending on submissions), lobby set to AA. If there is time at the end there may be a bonus job.

Included in the playlists will be some races where, the only rule is they must either have an option class that is not using a 'super' or, is set as a different class (this includes sea and air races).

Rules

- All Crew rules apply

- No bulletproof helmets/bandannas

- No modded/glitched clothes

- No killing in the Crew Lobby

- Only GTA items in races (no grenades, proximity mines, etc.)

Job Types
-Captures
-Land races (not locked to super)
-Stunt races (not locked to super)
-Sea races
-Air Races
-Wingsuit races (easy - mild difficulty only please)
(all races except GTA races set to non-contact)

The idea was for the package team to defend the cover area and hide from the assault team who have a lot of heavy snipers and such. Instead running into the open with the package was more preferable because the assault team pretty much handed them a vehicle. Disby had the right idea in the second round

Since you wondered, dear Geo: it's close to impossible capturing the object in the buzzard job. I hired hardcore-personnel with heavy snipers and miniguns to prevent from capturing. Time is a bit short also. My main intention to use capture mode is the fast respawn in buzzards. Unfortunately it doesn't count pvp kills like a 'real' deathmatch does. But that's all what

offers to us. I made several pseudo-captures for folks who like to use military toys without having to run for a fresh one post mortem.

Doesn't race, can't kill a fly: not into pvp. Just creates. Prefers teamplay. Likes jobs using ingame environment & off the beaten path.

it's your job of course so you don't have to do anything but I would suggest following the tips I mentioned in the stream mainly being:-
-Smaller more distinct capture zones
-Defending team starting with the capture objective + zone in the siege area where they have no requirement/reason to leave since if they hold off the attacking team they have won
-No need for parachutes at the beginning of the game since all people using a plane receive one + with having an SUV respawn people only wanted to die ASAP to get that vehicle instead which made the planes more of a prop than a feature

I definitely appreciate any tips on my jobs but I feel like I'm just trying to sell a dead horse on this one. The smaller bases thing just enables base camping. If I give everyone a koernigsegg or mcclaren it would stop everyone screaming and trying to break their own neck in disgust (even though there's only 2 seconds of travel time), but someone could just take the package and drive to the other side of the map. So even if I glitch the team 1 base directly above their starting area, removing all means of capture, it's still not really going to work and people will run round in circles like "snot working wtf?". I'm cutting my losses on this one

Avalanche Duckhunt: Cool job! I'd consider balancing it a bit towards the runner's side by giving them about 30% more cover during their run. And/or enable BMXing on the upper levels. Healthpacks on ramps seem relatively useless since it's too risky to stop for picking them up. Is there a way to put them in the containers?

sad to hear this but I do feel kind of inspired to try and make something of the idea, if I do I'll be sure to offer credit your way bud
