As everyone knows the creator remains broken on last-gen consoles. This is despite saying:
and claiming to have fixed the stacking prop issue that occurred after title update 1.27 (like here). The promised creator update only arrived on next-gen consoles and the inability to stack props still remains on last-gen consoles. Last-gen creators have been repeatedly misled! They promised updates to the creator, but only delivered on next-gen consoles and have failed to correct a issue that has been around for months on last-gen.
So what can be done about it? Well there's a few workarounds available and this post aims to categorise them. I can't directly provide any videos but hopefully this provides a overviews of the tools that still exist. This is in no-way a admission that the current state of the creator or level of Rockstar's support to last-gen creators is acceptable.

Basics
How to edit checkpoints rotation in races
New method.
How to stack itemsThe old method was to get place down prop 1, pick it back up and then place on prop 2. This placed prop 1 down on top of prop 2.
How to switch glitch items when stacking (super-humans only)
The old method was to get prop 1 somewhere where it can't be placed, switch to prop 2 (left or right one step) that can be placed, and quickly tap left/ right and X at the same time. This placed prop 1 down.
How to switch glitch items when stacking using L3/R3
This methods been around for ages but is often forgotten.
Some props are particularly troublesome in stacking using the above method but it a surprisingly simple way to get props "stacked". Wallrides (particularly with the green container) can still be built relatively easily with this glitch.
How to make props "solid" (aka stackable props)
New method. Easy to use and arguably slightly better than the old way of stacking props as props are solid so there's no need to find "sweet spots". This is to be used when you want to switch glitch on top of another prop.
Any prop, anywhere (non-restricted areas)
New Method. You can get Buoys on land or use this method to place large props in places that normally only small props would squeeze in (e.g. using the cash crate you can glitch in any larger prop where the cash crate fits).
Props (Barriers and Wreckage) in restricted areas (or where they can't be placed normally)
New Method. Particularly easy to use
Dynormal Props
New method. Allows any prop to be treated as dynamic.

These all use the basic glitches as their main "building blocks". There's undoubtedly even more inventive ways to use the basic glitches to build even better things. The best way to create is to get good at the basic glitches and see how far you can string them together. With enough time + patience anything is possible.

Any Prop in restricted areas
We’ve received lots of other fantastic feedback to the official GTA Online feedback inbox from the Creator community about features they’d like to see. One such update that we are currently working on for a next update is a new feature to enable creators to properly stack props, adding proper support for that highly-requested feature powering super fun mega-ramps, loops and parkour courses – please stay tuned for more information on that

Basics
How to edit checkpoints rotation in races
New method.
- Edit a checkpoint.
- When replacing hold the L1/R1 buttons for orientation. While doing this place the checkpoint down. This works similarly to the switch glitch.
How to stack items
- New Method: Place down prop 1, pick it up and hover over to prop 2. Tap x and it flashes on the screen, look at the red/purple circle. if it is placeable it flashes white in the middle for a microsecond or solid if the prop is large enough to cover the cursor.
- Double tap X to stack prop 1 on prop 2.

- New method: get prop 1 somewhere where it can't be placed, switch to prop 2 (left or right one step) that can be placed, and quickly tap X followed by left/ right and X at the same time. This requires speed button mashing beyond most mortals.
How to switch glitch items when stacking using L3/R3
This methods been around for ages but is often forgotten.
- Use L3/R3 to life the prop up from the ground slightly.
- Hover over the prop you wish to stack on. If possible place the item down. If not switch to the left or right of the prop you are attempting to place and see if any of them props can be placed. If so use the switch glitch to glitch in the required prop.
Some props are particularly troublesome in stacking using the above method but it a surprisingly simple way to get props "stacked". Wallrides (particularly with the green container) can still be built relatively easily with this glitch.

New method. Easy to use and arguably slightly better than the old way of stacking props as props are solid so there's no need to find "sweet spots". This is to be used when you want to switch glitch on top of another prop.
- Place down any (non-dynamic) prop (Prop 1)
- Place down the prop you want to place (Prop 2)
- Scroll over to Prop 1, delete it and place down Prop 2 where prop 1 was. Prop 2 will now be solid.
- Prop does not remain solid upon reload.
- Known to cause issues with "bonus props". That is, after saving and reloading extra props will appear where you've been glitching. This is true if you do not place down prop 2 in exactly the same place prop 1 was placed down. This often contributes to props disappearing.

- Place down any (non-dynamic) prop (Prop 1)

- Scroll over to Prop 1, delete it. You can switch to any prop while scrolling and place that prop but only prop 2 will spawn upon reload. (See video for better explanation).
- Save and reload. Prop 2 will now be where you deleted prop 1.

Props (Barriers and Wreckage) in restricted areas (or where they can't be placed normally)
New Method. Particularly easy to use
- Place down a Barrier or Wreckage prop.
- Pick it up and move to where you'd like to place it. This can in a restricted area, at any angle or within any prop/ wall.
- Switch to the dynamic prop. Click cancel (twice)
- "Place" any more props in similar ways. Save and reload. You're prop(s) will now be placed where you've cancelled.
Known issues:
- In the Capture creator the glitch works differently. Rather than allowing you to simply cancel you have to click cancel, and then place the dynamic prop down. You can also only place one glitched prop using this method per reload in capture creator(?)
{Props in Restricted Areas Video}
Dynormal Props
New method. Allows any prop to be treated as dynamic.
- Place down a normal prop (Prop 1)
- Place and pick-up a dynamic prop.
- Switch to the prop you want to be dynamic without scrolling over the dynamic category (Prop 2)
- Hover over Prop 1 and delete it.
- Place Prop 2 where you want it. Don't get it wrong as you can't edit a dynormal prop, only delete and start over.

How to build Mega Ramps
- Repeatedly use the make props solid glitch to place a solid ramp, glitch on top of it and repeat.
- (As far as I'm aware) You cannot smooth the ramps out i.e. no backward engineering.
Mix of old and new methods.
- Make a ramp solid (see above)
- Switch glitch a green container on the ramp by placing a construction prop down and using the switch method to place a green container.
- Next make another ramp solid, switch over the the sign prop category and a small sign.
- Hover the prop off the ground slightly using L3/ R3 and then hover the sign within the green container. This makes it level with the bottom of the green container already placed.
- Move the cursor out slightly and place your ramp as close to the green container. Repeat step 2 onwards.
- After a save and re-load extra props will appear where you've been glitching. If you've already passed 50 props these will often delete other props around the map. For that reason it's highly advisable to finish any tunnels, ramps and other complicated structure before you build anything else.

Any Prop in restricted areas
- Use the restricted area glitch (see above) to place a barrier or wreckage prop in a restricted area.
- Use the "Any prop, Anywhere method" to place any prop in the restricted area. So place the prop you want to appear down (prop 1), pick it up and move over to the barrier prop, delete the barrier prop and then click cancel. Save & reload and viola you've got a prop where you shouldn't!
Known issues:
I hope the above helps somebody. Using the content creator is like being a artist working with one arm tied behind their back, but I hope the above helps some of the other one-armed artists (aka last-gen creators) out there create masterpieces still! Please leave any questions or extra tips below!
- You can't edit the placed prop and the process itself is quite time consuming.
