GCCC World Off-Road Championship #33
Season 4: Round 6 of 6

GCCC brings you its very own World Off-Road Championship.

A Bi-Weekly Multi-Crew event open to GCCC, Affiliates and Race Crews.
2 hours of crew member submitted off-road and rally inspired races.

GCCC Member Jobs get priority but jobs from non-crew members will be accepted.
Providing a best lap time tournament each season for those who want the challenge.

There are six rounds per season with each round consisting of 12 stages. Average of 6 minutes per track.

A special Creator Final follows with the seasons top voted tracks.

Event Time

This Round: Jan. 3rd, 2017

European Event: Tuesday with geenopa & Dr_Geo @ 7 PM GMT (11AM PST/2PM EST)
American Event: Tuesday with coachwargo @ 7PM PST/10PM EST (Wed. 3AM GMT)

Add the hosts on PSN and join the party portal "GCCC Offroad/Rally Event Portal"

Crew Lobby opens at European: 6:30 PM GMT / American: 6:30 PM PST
Free-Aim Lobby may be used for better connectivity.

Event Format

12 Races across 2 playlists.
Laps set to an Average of 6 Minutes per track.

Each event should last around 2 hours.

Points are awarded based on your best lap time and not your finishing position.

Forum voting will be used for the best tracks of the round.

The best 3 tracks from each round go through to the Next Round.

The winning driver and creator are crowned at the end of each season.

Creator Finals

Each of the Six rounds will have a forum poll to pick your 4 favourite tracks.

The top 3 voted tracks from each round will automatically go through to the next round playlist.

In the event of a tie for third place - both third and fourth will go through.

The Number One race each round will automatically go through to the Creator Final in Round 7.

Event Rules

Please follow all GCCC Rules and etiquette.

No Crew lobby killing of any type.

No glitched/invisible clothing during playlists.
Please Play All Tracks before voting.

Points System

Points will be awarded to the top 5 best lap times for each track. Must not use a blacklisted vehicle to qualify. It will be the top 5 best lap times from both European and American events combined. You may attend both events to improve your chances. If attending both events, the best of the two lap times will be used. You must participate in at least 5 races from the event to be included in the Leaderboard.
Season 4 Blacklisted Vehicles.

Using blacklisted vehicles will mean your points are void for that race.

Off-Road: No Bikes (Sanchez & BF400) (except when locked)

Supers: All Supercars except (use only Sultan RS, Bullet or Voltic)
Sedans: No Schafter or Schafter V12
Motorcycles: No Street Bikes (e.g. Bati, Akuma, Hakuchou, Double-T, Carbon RS, Defiler, Vortex, Shotaro, Ruffian etc.) (use dirt bikes e.g. BF400, Sanchez, Enduro, Blazer, Gargoyle, Cliffhanger, Manchez etc.)

Points awarded to the top 5 fastest lap times for each track.
1st: 7 points
2nd: 5 points
3rd: 4 points
4th: 3 points
5th: 2 points
All other finishers: 1 point
DNF - Did Not Finish the race: 0 Points
DQ - Dis-Qualified for using a Blacklisted vehicle: 0 Points
DNQ - Did Not Qualify by participating in at least 5 Tracks: 0 Points and not included on the leaderboard.

Race Submissions

All tracks are raced Non-Contact only.

30 player races to allow as many crew members to join as possible.

Customs are used on most tracks. Some tracks will be played with Customs Off when suitable restrictions are made by the creator.

The top 3 voted tracks will automatically go through to the next round.

Winning races from the previous round will be set to Rain.

If a track wins 2 Rounds, then on the 3rd round the class is changed.

Grand Senora Rally X by austindecker
Mixed surface Rallycross track located near the Grand Senora Desert. Defaulted to Off-Road and open to Sports and Super Rally Cars as well.
+- Good title but not sure if this area is considered the Grand Senora Desert. Maybe call it something less generic. I have few other Grand Senora Rally X tracks bookmarked.
+ Good description. Explains the track layout and vehicle restrictions for each class.
+- Default Off-Road and recommended Trophy Truck or Desert Raid suit the track well. I’m assuming from the description. Sports is locked to Omnis and Tropos. Super is locked to Sultan RS. I think a few other classes could also work. For example Motorcycles locked to Dirt Bikes. SUV’s for Contenders.
+ Nice route with well placed starting grid on the straight freeway section. Off-road sections flowed nicely with two jumps crossing over the track.
+- Would like to see the inclusion of a Joker Lap to make this track qualify for Rallycross events. Add a short secondary route that adds a few seconds to the lap.
- I recommend burying the Tire Barriers of the Sponsor Signs. The tire barriers are sticky when hit. It’s smoother to slide against the Sign part.
+ Nice loop section at CP’s 8-11. Curved barriers worked well on the outside and liked the looks of the black center Speed boost tube. Crossover jump was nicely done.
- CP-14 before the tube section is unnecessary. As well as the second checkpoint inside the tube.
- Jumping over the freeway it is easy to land too far to the left and crashing into a tree or raised track piece upon landing. Something else is needed to help you line up correctly before launching off the jump.
+- Nice jump back onto the freeway. Wall on right side works well to prevent from overshooting. Left barrier on ramp needs to be vertical instead of angled.
+ The final Hairpin turn looked great with the propping used.
= 3.5/5 Nice quick route with fun features. Could use a joker lap and some adjustments to checkpointing and propping.

{@}-RalRoad by @adrenelin
3 mile mixed surface Rally loop through the Wind farm and Davis Quarry. Defaulted to Sports and open to all classes.
- Don’t understand the title and putting {@} to force the title to the top of list is begging for attention. Description doesn’t say much about the track. It also recommends to use with customs off but doesn’t restrict vehicle choices. Classes should be restricted to suitable Rally vehicles for the track to make turning off customs useful.
+- Okay route that is a bit long. Not a fan of the floating track section. Looks unnatural and has random twists and turns just to connect the wind farm to the quarry. Would be more interesting if it stays close to the ground and uses the natural surroundings and roads.
+ Secondary route in quarry gives players an interesting option.
- Block wall a CP-25 is floating above ground and can be drivin under. Use a bigger block piece and bury it into the ground so it looks clean and natural.
- Barrier protection is much needed between CP’s 26 and 27 to prevent from going off the track.
- Block wall at Hairpin turn of CP-30 has a bank in front of it. That when hit causes your vehicle to go up the side and flip. Needs to be angled in more to be a useful barrier. Perhaps find a curved prop to use instead.
+- Triple checkpoints before finish is unnecessary. I’m assuming this is a warning that the lap is ending. It doesn’t hurt or help. I can take it or leave it.
= 3/5 Average route that doesn’t offer much to make it memorable. Could use better propping and more features to make it interesting.

Sumthin' Smells Fishy by juicy
Top voted track from previous round returns in the rain with some improvements made.
+ Additional Arrow signs added in the water work well in navigating you through the water.
- CP-19 points right on the ramp. Though the ramp makes it obvious to go straight over the ramp. An additional checkpoint before going under Calafia Bridge would be helpful.
+- I think the Rockstar placed logs past CP-34 can be propped out. For example the first log could have a smooth barrier along the side of it. the second log could have a road built over the top of it or perhaps a barrier in front of it to warn you to go around.
+ The rebuilt road to the finish looks better and works well.
= 4.5/5 Fun and interesting route made better with the recent improvements. Just needs some minor tweaks

Offroad Fun by clamburglar
Off-Road loop for Motorcycles and Off-Roads located at Braddock Pass and Mount Chiliad. Defaulted to motorcycles and night.
- Generic title and description. Could use a more interesting title and description.
+- Defaulted motorcycles suit track well. I recommend restricting to suitable dirt bikes only. I’m pretty sure a Faggio can’t make the steep climb.
+- Starting grid is tight. But understandable considering the location. Perhaps a raised platform would work better.
+ Fun well laid out route.
+ Route up Chiliad flowed nicely with well placed propping.
+- adding Speed boosts on the steep platform climb would be helpful.
+ Fires rings placed throughout look great
+- I think more consistent prop colors would look better. Perhaps stick to pink for all props.
+ Tube sections and raised track walls make the Route down Chiliad easy to navigate.
- Could use better barrier protection along the train tracks to prevent overshooting the tracks or falling through gaps. See video for reference.
+ Cool tunnel before finish. Lines you up to finish nicely.
= 4/5. Fun and interesting route. could use some improvements to propping and better barrier protection in some spots.

Cluckin' Bell roadkill RX by @crooked_Xxguys
Short and quick rallycross located near the penitentiary. Open to most classes and includes a joker lap. No Vans.
+- Good title but lacks a description.
+ Nice simple route with a good mix of dirt and tarmac.
+- Joker lap is easy to navigate and adds small time penalty. Could use a more obvious joker lap entrance markings. Perhaps a starting gate.
+ Apex corners smoothed out nicely.
+ Good looking and clean propping throughout. Sponsor walls looked great.
- There is small light sticking out of the ground at the CP-7 apex. It is possible to get stuck on or cause you to flip when hit. See video for demonstration.
= 4/5 Overall a very nicely built rallycross track. Just needs some minor tweaks. Perhaps some more features to make it stand out.

Vapid Valley Rally by SZRT_CyberGawD
Off-road rally in the Chiliad Wilderness. Defaulted to off-road with all classes except vans available.
+ Great track title and good description. Warns you of narrow tree gap at the beginning.
+- Going over the blind hill at the start there is narrow gap between the trees. With a floating arrow warning you in advance. Helpful but with a large lobby at the start of the race. I imagine there will be many pile ups here. Perhaps it would be better to build the track over the trees.
+- interesting route. There is one short section that criss-crosses with possible on coming racers. Not likely to cause much issues if racing with contact on with clean racers.
+- I like the consistent use of Vapid Sponsor boards placed throughout the course. though the placement looked a bit messy. I think burying them into the ground and straightening them up better would look cleaner.
+- Track pieces used for banked corners worked well. I think it would look better if raised track pieces were used instead.
+- Props blocking off the dirt path would be helpful to direct drivers to CP-18 up the hill.
+- I found the route to bit rough over the Speed Boost at CP-19.
+ Slowdown strips before final hairpin worked well in insuring you didn’t overshoot the corner.
= 3.5/5 Interesting route. Could use improvements in propping and better flow.

Galileo RX 2.0 by theicide
This is a cunning stunts remake of my Galileo Rally-X. Completely repropped with Stunt Props. Original track still available for those that prefer the old school props. Defaulted to Sports and Night. Built for the Comet Retro. All classes available with some classes with OP vehicles removed. Features night propping throughout. Joker lap with pit lane is available by going through the right side of the car park at the Observatory.

Chimera's Desert Duster by juicy
Off-Road lap course locked to the 3 wheel Chimera. Similar layout to Dusty Rose by the same creator. Starting in Sandy Shores, Going around Stab City and finishing with a fast straight through the Senora Desert.
+ Great title and description. Title is original and descriptive. Description is very interesting.
+ Route is well laid out and works well with the Chimera. Plenty of props throughout keep it interesting.
+ Jumps made from targets worked and looked original.
+- Should remove bottom tire stack from pole before CP-5. So it can’t be hit. Since they tend to be sticky.
+ All water crossings are made shallow and easily passable without sinking.
+ Tube section is nicely done with water that isn’t too deep.
+ Nice ramp with fire rings past CP-12. Liked the detail of the yellow strips added to ramp. The consistent yellow/black props throughout looked great.
+ The added small target jumps along the long straight dirt section. Made this section fun and interesting.
= 5/5 Fun and interesting track. Best Chimera track I’ve played. Only needs minor tweaks.

{JB} DIRT IN YOUR SKIRT by jeffbob1979
Indoor Stadium style short track built for the Trophy truck. Open to all classes except Vans.
+ Original and great track title. Description is simple but effective.
+ Short, Quick and well laid out route.
+ Great looking night propping throughout. Well placed Tire hoops with lights. Fire Rings. Raised track pieces around the perimeter with a ceiling. Blue Blocks give the illusion of a pond in the center.
= 5/5. Interesting and fun track that looked great throughout. Everything was well done.

Paleto Bay Rally X by masapy072
This well made top voted rallycross track returns for a 4th round. Played with Sports Classics for this round. Worked well in the Stirling GT.

Slow Job by theBees13
Short lap race at Sandy Shores. Stock Blista 1m20s. Defaulted to Sports. Compacts, Coupes, Motorcycles, Muscle and Sedans also available.
+ Good title and description.
+ Well laid out route that suits slower classes well.
+- Could work as a Rallycross track. Just needs a joker lap.
+- I believe Sports is locked to the Raptor. Ran this with Compacts. I recommend not using the Brioso. It doesn’t handle the bumps as well as some of other compacts. I think Vans would be fun on this track. Also add Off-Road class with restrictions to slow off-road vehicles only.
+- A barrier on the outside of the floating track at CP-3 would be a nice addition to protect from going into the lake.
+ Nice use of the dirt round-a-bout at CP-12
+ Wall dividing the road to prevent hitting on coming racers looked good and well done.
= 4/5 Nicely built and well laid out route. Perhaps it could use more features to make it stand out more.

Just a few notes (aka imo's) after I raced the jobs and watched theicide's reviews:

SA Rallycross Senora:
I'd close most gaps to prevent from crashing into probs and environmental tools. Should be relatively easy since it's a short route.

Grand Senora Rally X:
I'd suggest less checkpoints in the short tubes and at other parts where they are frequent. You might also protect from crashing into the elevated road just after the jump out of the tubes by adding some protective guiding probs or a divider.

Offroad Fun:
I enjoyed this track, it's a nice creative route off the beaten path. Just 2 lil' things: I failed 2 times at the railroad part (after the boyes) and fell into the gap beside the bridge. Just what theicide remarks at 4:41 of his review video. you could place the cp a bit further ahead and close the gap. And yes, a speed booster might help on the steep fire-rings part.

Galileo RX 2.0:
Just perfect as it is!!

Love the style and use of illumination/light.

The same goes for 'Dirt in your skirt' which makes a good use of lights.

+ I Like the new name. Very original.
