Due to an alarming gap in the GCCC calendar for more pure style races derived from actual motorsport events, I am going to be hosting an official racing event EVERY Sunday evening at 7.30PM BST, entitled ‘RaceWars’. The aim of this event is to provide a fantastic exposure of the thousands of awesome racetracks out there, encompassing a vast range of vehicles from humble sedans and dirty off-road buggies to the most desirable classics and million dollar exotica every man (or woman) dreams of owning in his (or her) garage. This event will encompass styles and disciplines as diverse as Rallying, GT1/GT2, Touring Cars, Import Tuners, Off-road, Moto X, Superbikes, Hill-Climbing, One-Make series’ and much, much more, a must play for any self-respecting petrol head!

Each week I shall host THREE playlists of FIVE jobs each, which may or may not be themed to fit a specific style. Playlist one shall be comprised of 16 player PS3 jobs and I shall open a pre-lobby at 7:30pm BST to gather initial players. As soon as enough have joined the pre-lobby I'll get the first playlist started, so it's first come, first serve! If you miss out on this first playlist though do not fear, because both remaining playlists will support up to 30 players. Playlist 2 will begin at 9PM BST. :-)

Themed Car Meets

Also new for Season 2 is themed car meets! In the crew-only pre-lobby to gather up to 30 players for the 2nd playlist I shall pick a location and everyone who wants to participate is to bring their car of choice which fits the weekly theme to this location. Here is a chance to hang out, admire each others rides and maybe snap some awesome ensemble crew pictures as well! It goes without saying that this lobby is a strictly NO KILLING affair, anyone who breaks the rules will face the consequences and will be barred from attending the event, so you have been warned!

Although GCCC members will get first priority I will open the playlist lobbies up to non-members once the GCCC players are in session if crew numbers are not sufficient, by way of allowing the client invites to be used to invite racers not rocking the GCCC crew tag to the event as there are a lot of racers and race crews out there that could benefit from an introduction to our ways. :-)

So what are you waiting for? Get submitting and I’ll see you on the track!

IMPORTANT FINAL MESSAGE: Race fairly! Obviously, collisions can and will occur, some races will be run in 'standard' mode and I may even include the odd demolition derby/banger race too, but by and large I want to see FAIR and CLEAN racing from ALL participants. This means NO deliberate ramming or pit-maneuvering and try to avoid 'sponging' off others to get around tight corners. I reserve the right to eject ANYONE from the event who I deem to be a repeat offender and with

iffy servers we know that if you get kicked midway through a playlist you're unlikely to get back in, so you have been warned!

Thank you WTR. I've Bmd your track, I'll try it later. I also tried one of your races that was locked to the Stirling around Rockford Hills LSC area, with lots of areas where you see other racers. (can't remember the name. Although, I could find it easily enough on SC) I loved it.

Again some real quality races in tonights line-up and tremendous participation throughout! From next season I think I'm going to be going with the concept of all THREE playlists being 30 players as the popularity of the event now means that 16 player playlists are excluding players from the early stages. Expect to see quite a few of the best races already featured making a return in next season's events!

Also we had probably the best car meet yet as all manner of American vehicles lined up in Grapeseed for a wonderfully varied showcase, just a shame those damn gang members had to ruin it all with their sudden and unexpected ambush on our peaceful gathering!

Top 4 for 'jagermeisters':

(1) La Mesa Business by jimbob-STROUD

Granted, this is nothing we haven't seen before route-wise but very well propped, a great route perfectly suited to supercars and brilliant checkpoint placement throughout. Sometimes a race doesn't have to do anything other than be an excellent race to be highly thought of and this one ticks all the right boxes and offers plentiful replay value!

(2) [PS4] Hangaroring by wtr190788793

One of the best races around Fort Zancudo i've played yet, a technical route with some tricky corners and a few sections to really floor it and unleash the power! Tyre stacks on apexes are a polarizing choice but for the most part they work well and encourage care in the lead up, although when played as a contact race they can prove to be problematic so maybe one or two can be removed in the tighter spots. Love the hairpin inside the hangar too although would like to see a barrier on the right-hand side of the exit rather than the light as it can be a nuisance if you get your line wrong and exit too wide!

(3) Lakeside Off Road Derby by bellyfluff

The first half of the race is surely ripped straight from LN-MLB's Kalahari Kross but even so, this works exceptionally well with the Coil Brawler. The second half of the race deviates somewhat and features a terrifically unique custom chevron constructed out of car wrecks to make sure racers know exactly which way to go next! Add rain and this becomes so much more tricky and even closer racing ensues!

(4) Go Cart - Legion Scuare by Frezyys

A tremendously conceived go-kart track that combines wide-open roads with well-placed chicanes and a couple of detours through narrow alleyways and all in a compact race with lap times barely a minute each! Reminds me of Jameznash's Kart - Northern Soul in it's combination of main and side roads with traditional go-kart propping and the track flows very well indeed once you get the hang of it. I would recommend changing the tyre walls under the overpass from black to yellow in colour as they can become almost invisible in the darkness and potentially the first corner leading to the underground tunnel is a tad misleading to newcomers as you end up seeing the arrow pointing right a little later than you'd like, so perhaps a slight tweak is in order here?
