Over the past few months we've had a influx of new and active members: This is great, as it means more jobs for us to play and more people to share jobs with as well! GCCC's a highly organised crew and this means we've got a way of working that's evolved since the crew's inception in September 2014. Recently there's been a few "Hey, how do I....?" or "Why does this work like...?" type of questions that this post will aim to answer - think of it like a extra Introduction into the crew
How do I get my jobs into events?
You've joined the right crew as we have daily events meaning plenty of opportunity to get your jobs tested in a full lobby. Just to to the PS3 share area, find the event you want to submit too (preferably one you can attend so you can get feedback at the time) and submit a job!
What's the crew etiquette during events?
Enjoy them and let others enjoy them too! That means no arguing (certainly not with the host who's busy inviting people etc.), to no vote jobs instead of down-voting and respect + obey the host. If you see a issue with the event think "What can I do to help?" not "O I'll moan to someone, they'll appreciate that" (e.g. if you play a bad job give some constructive feedback to the creator so they can improve the job).
How do I vote for my favourites and what happens to them?
Our events have polls which allow you to vote for your favourite jobs from them. Recently we've seen people so eager to vote they're voting without even attending the event though, which we find disrespectful to jobs in the event you probably won't of played. That's why we ask for you to vote only if you attended the event. These jobs are carried over to our showcase event, "Let's Give a HOOT" which showcases the best bits of the crew. This is a mix of the best voted jobs while also ensuring all creators and jobs types get a fair showcase.
I have a issue with something, what can I do?
Issues should be reported to a commissioner/ to me. They are discussed and resolved in the fairest way possible or more complex issues are taken to be discussed by our commissioners. The most rule to remember is this "Be polite and respectful with other crew members. Disagreements will happen but keep them constructive and in private. If you're told you've offended someone apologise and move on.". That means if you have a issue you should politely contact the person who's offended you (e.g. not on the crew wall) and keep the discussion constructive (it's a game remember, life's too short for antagonist comments). If that doesn't work then elevate to a commissioner.
We ask that you do this so issues don't get blown up and spoil the crew's enjoyment. We've had issues in the past discussed on the crew wall and that didn't work - people got involved who didn't know about the issue creating lots of confusion and drama. The commissioners are the most trusted people in the crew with all the relevant information to hand so their decisions are final. The commissioner protect the crew from this - we've signed up for the odd bit of drama so everyone else can get on with enjoying the game!
Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great time with us. We're a creator crew but attitude is way more important than anything else in the crew - we want to enjoy playing with other friendly people to relax!
