RaceWars 49 - Sunday 1st May @9PM BST

Excellent set of races, as any "best of" should be of course  End of a era next week   Haven't been able to join all of them but have thoroughly enjoyed all the ones I've attended. Thanks atheistsw, you've set the bar nice and high for the next host! 

Some quick niggly reviews of some of the races:

Hookah International by lancerevowrc
+ + Extremely well liked for good reason. The CP 13 to 18 section is one of my favourites out of any race. Beautiful propping that always puts a smile on my face.  
+ - CP 7 really necessary? Leaves very little preparation time for CP 8 although the clearly visible tyres walls means this isn't much of a issue at all. 
- - CP 10 to 11 is really awkward. CP 10 points into the start/ finish gate a little too much for my taste and everytime I've raced this around half the field have slammed right into the start/ finish gates here. It's quite a awkward turn to CP well, could you pull CP 11 back so CP 10 is 2 chevrons? Either that or a large arrow made with some props instead of the start/ finish gates imo (props on outside of CP 15 could be put to better use for this?). 
= = A personal favourite due to the excellent routes and CP 13 to 18 section.

Although everytime I've played this I've not found any issue I've never really quite got into this one somehow. The CPs and props are all fine, as usual but there's a few spots where it's super easy to spin out unexpectedly. CP 14 to 15 is particularly troublesome. I'd strongly suggest putting down some sunken barges here, or perhaps replacing the inside runway hut with a pole blocking barrier. You need to take your foot off the throttle slightly and take the pavement here to avoid spinning out, something the CP doesn't really make clear imo. 

I've assumed it's just been a me issue before but spinning out here on half the laps and still getting a comfortable 7th it's clearly something everyone else struggles with too. 

Echo Park Raceway (GP) by atheistsw
+ + Great race and one of the few of the night I've not played before. Brings something new to a otherwise dead area. The use of the floating platforms at CP 20 is a particular highlight - hate this turn normally too. 
+ - Quite a lot of the field ran wide around CP 13-15 on lap 1. I'd remove CP 14 and push 13 on a bit so it's 3 chevrons. As there's 3 CPs close together it doesn't leave people much room to react on lap 1. 

GWC and GS GP by cuz05
+ + Surprisingly one of my favourite compact races. I think this is a good example of "mixing it up" in a race. Quite a lot of compact races are tight turns after tight turns but this has a GP feel with a great mix thrown into one race, which also means quite a few different vehicles can remain competitive around here. 
+ - CP 2 nudge forward so CP 1 is 3 chevrons which would correctly indicate a hairpin rather than a sweeping right. Totally confuses me on lap 1 no matter how many times I play this. 

Haven't got much intelligent to say about any of the rest. Pretty much flawless.
