PS4: Event Organisation, New Hosts And Co-Hosts

jimbob9699 what time are you running it (so I can add it to the calendar)? As soon as you get a regular pattern I'll add it permanently to the calendar but for now Sunday Skool is out and Zorvaine's event is going so it's still a bit up in the air.

Just to clarify you can use any phone headphones that have a mic on, except iPhone is only headphones that don't work as it has an annoying buzzing sound. I used the single ear piece that came with ps4 for the 1st 6 months until I ripped it apart throwing my controller in a rage once, then used a set of Sony experia phone head phones for another 6 months without problem, now I use a PlayStation official headset which was £20 from Argos.

I just can't picture that.

Can I host a playlist called STUNT GODZ every week at 1am sunday? 2 playlists of 10 new crazy stunts! I Will accept submissions if I think they are suitable. I would like a voting scheme for people to rate their top 4 races they enjoyed and I will use them in a playlist at the end of each month called GOD STUNTZ.

Sorry zveqxz but Jager's Meister goes on even later than that. The actual event only starts at 11pm GMT Saturday and goes on probably until 2am (at the earliest). Immediately after Jager's Meister is do-able timewise but I think after a huge event not too many will stay on that late. Would also depend on what jager1381 thinks. 1am Monday morning after Racewars may be better, but again only if atheistsw agrees. Sorry to be a pain again, squeezing everything into a ever full calendar is a good problem to have though

GCCC Needs You!
Our calendar's packed full of epic events for you to enjoy but as long as there's someone out there with a un-satisfied desire we won't rest! However we could do with a little help

Current events looking for a host: GCCC Verified Showcase
To be hosted either in a free slot after First Person Friday/ Purge or at the same time as Jager's Meister once a month. Ideally it would run at a similar time to the main lobby of the GCCC Verified (next due to take place 12th or 19th March) but with non-GCCC members. 

GCCC Verified collects the best jobs GCCC has to offer, and we want to share them with the wider community. Many GTA players toil away playing missions and jobs, and while these are acceptable they never really excite in the same way as a truly well thought out map. We'd like to show the community just how good created jobs can get! Help can be provided through extensive promotion via twitter and Youtube with the playlists made in advance by jager1381 . However we do need someone selfless to host this...

American/ Non-EU Re-runs
Any event, at any time that doesn't coincide with a current event.

We recognise that a lot of our events are tailored towards EU players but we'd love to see more American events. They don't even need to be anything new, a re-run is simply re-using the same playlists as the original event. If you really miss joining a current event then this is your choice to host a second run of it and enjoy it with members more American / Non-EU members. Help would be provided through the playlists and forum posts already (likely) being made with the strong possibility of crew message rights being given/ done for you. 

Current events looking for Co-hosts:
The key to making events work and hugely appreciated by all hosts. A backup if the main host can't make it, helpful with forum posts and reviews. Sharing the workload out makes running the event easier and produces a better event.

Weekly Showcase Sunday Skool
Should be able to host every other Thursday @ 10pm GMT after Mini Meet.
cypher2k11  is looking for a new co-host for Sunday Skool being able to run the event every other Thursday. Also anyone looking to host Sunday Skool through the night for USA players to share jobs in is welcome. No other event allows creators to share jobs and get valuable feedback so easily with it's relaxed atmosphere. Apply on the thread. 


GCCC certainly isn't short of events and the more help we get the more (better) events we can have so if you're able to offer your help below

Yeah I'm perfectly ok with the time it's almost perfect considering the day.

Sorry techrobin there's a new off-road event starting this Sunday @ 3pm GMT (now added to the calendar). I wouldn't want to discourage a potential host but just looking at the videos makes me want to rage - for me these races are everything that's wrong with stunt races; deliberately too hard for the vast majority of racers to do taking a enormous amount of time away for other creators who put some effort into making stunts do-able.

If you do want to go ahead with this idea I think some kind of time limit for the races would be necessary to prevent overlap with our busy calendar, as well as a trail event to see if there's interest around the idea. Something personally I'd like to see with stunt races is more refinement through constructive feedback to get a higher quality of tracks in the other GCCC stunting events (there's 50% that are amazing, 25% OK and 25% that just leave me scratching my head). If you have the time to help test + review creations with either a stunt test event or review topic personally I think that'd be better.

jjn1lfc any ideas for the best way to get the non-GCCC players into the event? Would adding you to their PSN friends be acceptable (imagine 30 friends requests or so though, eek) or is there a clever method using communities / similar we could use to stop you being spammed by friend requests?
