Hey Tom, I'm a keen TDM player like yourself, except I opt for free aim. I enjoyed your Remix of Governmental. Do you have any TDMs that fit the style. No roofs, but not too much of a hide and seek with approx 8 players? (or recommend other any TDMs other than your own)
Hi Mate. It's an area of my collection I've been neglecting recently because of GCCC events requiring more players and wanting to offer options on play style. I assume you don't mean the super hardcore free aim maps that haven't got a single bump or undulation (or even props ). I haven't played free aim since PS3, so I'm a bit out of touch with what really constitutes a really good free aim map specifically.
I'd suggest:
Community Living 2 It's got a small native walkway and you do need to climb on top of the odd prop for some of the rifles - but the default AP makes that optional imo. It's one of my favourites and I'll often play it without any climbing bar the odd ammo reup.
The Garden I This is in the swamps, but I've put floors in to remove most of the water/deep mud that retards movement, although a key characteristic is the ground still undulating.
if you dig shotguns I have Shotgun Fever that's very tight with just handful of ramps. soggy sneakers is almost traditional pistol RnG map, but semi submerged so it gives aiming another dynamic as people are usually moving about 20% slower than normal, and the propping is a bit more ramshackle than the usual cabins and barriers. Sewer Rats is another almost traditional and very simple RnG map, but people can use the intersect in the shallow water and/or use the drain banks - but it's never a chore finding someone to shoot at. Waterfall RnG is, you guessed it, a traditional style RnG, but just made for the location (has a couple of spawning issues still - but hey, waterfall!)
