I only got in at the end and played Pursuit 2.5 by Tesseractor- and really liked it!
Similar idea to Heist Setup missions. Take a defended vehicle and deliver it to a distant location, while being persued by people shooting from vehicles.
lachsack and I made it somewhat comfortably. We both cleared a few guards and I ran interference while lach drove to me. We both got in the car - this was crucial. The roads are so tough that a driver won't stand a chance defending themselves.
We got the AP Pistol or at least I did. Picked it up at the starting area, along with an AK-47 after clearing out an alcove. This weapon (and the extra ammo) was also crucial to defend us.
A big driving error from lach early on meant the enemy were on us. High up, shooting down. But they couldn't get an angle to headshot us under the car roof, so we survived. I managed an auto-aim kill at the limit of the AP range as we drove off. That was crucial.
There was a big driving error from a chasing vehicle. It tumbled down the cliff and nearly landed in Cassidy Creek. That time delay gave us breathing room as we approached the narrow, steep and bumpy exit at the East end of the river.
We joined up with remko-the-red1 at the little bridge.
lach evaded a head-on collision with enemies as we got out of the canyon. Another crucial move for us! remko got tangled up with them and this gave us even more distance.
A bit later a different pair of enemies chased us down. I managed to headshot both of them in one sweep with the AP, now down to 2 clips of ammo. This unusual situation of headshots actually working in GTA Online took me by surprise! They never count for me, normally. This delayed the attackers massively, in fact I don't think we saw that pair again.
So there were possibly 10 battles or decisions which went out way and enabled us to deliver the car. Any one of those could have been our deaths and the vehicle would have changed hands.
Therefore I think this balances really well. With more players (and less luck!) I think the car would change hands a lot.
More ammo is the obvious request, for all players. If more people are present that will be even more important.
