My last event as host so I'm going to finish off by justifying why I chose these 18 races to bring about the end of an era. Thank you very much to EVERYONE who has helped make this event a success and a lynchpin of the GCCC calender, without your continued support we'd have never made it this far! Please show the same level of support to my successor, jimbob9699 , who I'm sure will prove the perfect crew member to pass the torch to.

Pump and Run! by Y2J_2264

Great flow to this one and the new re-prop is marvellous! Always loved how balanced the chosen stock cars are (even the Voltic can compete!) although in the right hands the Cheetah still manages to wipe the floor with everything!

Prison Banger by jameznash

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best and this straightforward banger race around the dirt track outskirts of the prison demonstrates that concept perfectly. Subtly propped to create a feeling of racing around something of a scrapyard environment, this race provides some close (very close!) racing action and is brilliant in the available stock muscle cars.

[PS4] Hangaroring by some12hate

One of the best examples of a race around the over-used Fort Zancudo area with a some brilliantly tricky sections interspered with moments of pure speed. Admittedly in need of a re-prop using creator 2.0 as the many tyre stacks provide some frustratingly awkward obstacles to protect the myriad of junk lying arount this military base complex.

[1/2] Muddy Trails by rodo77

Another simple route but well propped and while it works terrifically in Buggies and the Brawlers as is, adding rain just somehow elevates the excitement and challenge of this one and  makes this one of my favourite off-road races out there.

Over and Under Bridges by lancerevowrc

This must be one of the most played pure races out there, but for good reason. Like most Lancer tracks, it doesn't do anything particularly memorable yet still manages to create a job that offers a fantastic race experience each and every time with pitch-perfect propping and CP placement, which, at the end of the day, is precisely what contributes to those tracks that we return to again and again, isn't it?

PS4 The Dragon 0.62 by deejayb1874

Short, sweet and super fast, this is a brilliant PS4 re-make of a track that was always (IMO) unsuited to the even larger prop restrictions of PS3, becoming a horrid pole-fest every time it was played. However, this next-gen version addresses those issues, so players are free to tear around with little impact on their fellow racers! The result is a race in which the laps (sub 30 seconds) simply fly by and the sheer simplicity of the layout means this is a track that is easy to pickup but hard to master and always provokes some seriously competitive showdowns right to the chequered flag!

Running Leight by Mandible_Claw-

Again, a terrific example of simplicity, this enclosed, figure of 8 style track around Senora Springs is brilliantly enhanced by some wonderfully risky half-pipes holding the sought-after rocket pick ups that are the lifeblood of any frantic GTA style race and can be harmful if approached at the wrong angle or speed. The choice to limit stock cars in the 'Sedans' class to just the two armored variants is a master-stroke as well, meaning success in this race lends as much to good fortune as driving ability, thanks to continuous blind crossovers that might just put the brakes on an impressive display of driving ability!

Aquarius Speedway by atheistsw

Hands down my most popular track, perhaps partly due to the fact that the thumbnail may trick some into thinking this is a stunt race! Probably as close as i'll get to embracing that style with my own work, this track was inspired by early barge work from the likes of deejayb1874 and has gone through a few iterations to ensure it's as smooth and flowing as possible!

Circuit Jerk by organlegger

Featuring some extremely innovative and unique propping throughout, this short circuit is ideally suited to the locked Cheetah in the 'Supers' class, although is also available open in several other classes. One of those races where it's really easy to go from the front to the back of the pack with merely a single error, my one complaint concerning this track is the misleading final hairpin that cruelly tightens in an unseen manor and features a pesky tyre stack at the apex point just for good measure! Nonetheless, a totally awesome track!

A2 Zancudo Eight by deejayb1874

The second track of the night from the prolific scotsman, this is a more recent offering and makes terrific use of creator 2.0 fuctionality to construct a wonderfully aesthetic bridge ably supported by some excellent apex propping that really comes to light in the wee small hours. Another short track, this works best with slightly slower classes, such as Coupes or Sports Classics and is guaranteed to provide some seriously close battles throughout!

[PS4] Carousel Technique by some12hate

Undoubtedly a classic of the oldskool creator age, thanks largely to a brilliant carousel section constructed out of ramps. Unfortunately, in light of the all-singing, all-dancing creator 2.0 race entries, this one appears a little rough under scrutiny, not least because of the over-zealous application of tyre stacks to protect poles, sometimes at the detriment of the race experience. No doubt this race has earned it's place among GCCC history, but nothing is perfect and this could do with a new coat of paint to propel it into the new age as it is still as very exciting race experience even with it's old-age flaws!

X Men: Professor X by erichears

Perhaps a marmite race to some, but it's hard to deny this race is a laugh-a-minute affair, particularly when played with friends. Forcing bikes down narrow paths with the potential for crossover and head-on chaos is guaranteed to raise the roof and have players screaming, swearing and laughing in equal measure!

Hookah International by lancerevowrc

A surprise winner of Raceday Wednesday, this may not be Lancer's best ever track but it's certainly proved to be his most crowd pleasing! Outstanding propwork creates a route that feels both familiar yet unique at the same time and as with all of Lancer's track offerings, this one is made for the rough and tumble world of contact racing! An absolute joy in the default 'Supers' class but equally adapatable to any other class, this is a prime example of masterclass track creation from one of GTA's premier track building legends!

Chapparel Muscle Dodgems by owenoldskool

An oldie but a goodie, this is a good ol' fashioned banger race offering some perilous terrain and some high-speed head-on potential, not to mention some seriously unforgiving terrain that can very easily leave your race prospects in tatters! Minimal propping does little to detract from the enjoyment of this crash-heavy romp, although with the creator 2.0 possibilities some additional aesthetic flourishes would be highly encouraged to further enhance this classic entry!

Airport Roulette by docmedpot

Arguably my favourite bike race ever, this beautifully bonkers supersonic romp makes full use of the cramped airport concourse roadways and uses the illuminated signage to tremendous effect. Requiring some nerves of steels to full-throttle it through the narrowing terminal section, this race rewards riders who fly by the seat of their pants with little concession for those who fail to embrace their need for speed!

HANGAR KARTING by Dr Krablander

A very brilliant multi-level circuit layout taking place inside a closed hangar at Fort Zancudo, this race is a paen to the supremely creative individuals we are proud to call our own! 3 laps was no doubt too many though, in fairness the default is just the 1, but I forgot how the 0.62 requirements meant that checkpointing in this one becomes an art all of it's own, my hat is off to the creator for even having the patience to squeeze the required distance into such a confined environment. Bravo sir, bravo!

Tearing It Up [PS4] by rodo77

Another absolute classic, perhaps the first mainstream race to introduce us to the beautiful possibilities of the illuminated airport lights. This race breathes new life into well-trodden areas and always offers a fast-paced race experience where minimal mistakes are met with maximum punishment!

Deez Beez GP by most-C-wanted

Our final race is one of my all-time favourite compact car races, brilliantly fashioning a realistic circuit around some of the lesser seen area's of the airport tarmac. Always generating some intense racing action, this perhaps could do with some slight prop tweaks; I'm still not convinced by the visiblity factor of the chicane midway through and there are a couple of protruding props that could do with being barriered off to further aid drivers who may run a little wide in places. Nonetheless this is still a track I love to return to again and again!
